Perfect restaurant for entertaining customers. Nice ambience - nice and quiet for easy conversation. Food is excellent with attentive service. Wine list is very good. Price was pretty reasonable for what we had. Our waiter told us that the menu is a starting point, and the chef will make us whatever we wanted. Appetizers were delicious.

I had dinner in Postino, it was one of the best Italian food that I have ever had, people were very friendly, the fish and the salad were outstanding and I really loved my glass of wine. Postino is one of the high profile Italian restaurant, and everything was as I expected to be. I went there 7 times after... More

No menu,we were given a marinated zucchini with cheese and olives to compliment the (expensive) wine. Appetizers of lobster with fetticini, stuffed zucchini flowers and mariniated artichokes were all delicious. Entrees served were veal chops, veal parmagiano, and veal rollatine with spinach. Waiter prepared the dessert- fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries in a cream sauce. All courses were outstanding... More

The service was attentive but not intrusive and the food was outstanding! The marinated zucchini to start was delightful! Highly recommended!

This is a very nice restaurant on the East Side of Manhattan. I have been there about 5 times in past year. Mozzarella from Italy is beyond delicious. Fish is great. Wait staff tends to push food on you though. Dinner for two with 4 glasses of relatively inexpensive wine will, set you back $275. Will definitely go there again but... More

I live in the neighborhood and I mostly see out of towners here on expense accouts. We had the big storm and there was no place else open, so we thought we would give it a try. The wait staff is top notch, attentive and pleasant, but I make better pasta at home. The pasta with fresh tomato sauce was... More

Attractive setting with noise level which at time made conversation difficult. Service good; food RIDICULOUSLY over priced. There are many better restaurants at this price point. Read some of the other reviews and BEWARE.

The service here is impeccable. The wait staff is old world professional. It stops there. WHile the ravioli with beets were memorable, everything else reeks of the quintessential spanish kitchen staff. Let's face it folks. They hire these guys because they work like automatons an they pay them poorly. And the food suffers. If you want genuine Italian fare, this... More

I went with some friends to Il Postino at the beginning of September. The menu is vast and does have many options, from good appetizers to tasty main courses and deserts. Many options of wine as well. I found service a bit disappointing in terms of attention to the clients. They would never let you finish a sentence and sometimes... More

Although "il postino" means "the postman" in Italian, that has nothing to do with this restaurant other than that they DELIVER on a great Italian food & wine experience. From appetizers through dessert, wine selection and Italian old school waiters, this could have easily been a restaurant in Milano or Roma. You may actually feel a bit confused when you... More
