We were a group of 7 people. The service was excellent. Food was tasty and the prices were decent. The portions were very good as well. This is a typical NY hole in the wall place and not very grand. If you are looking for a grand place, check my other Indian restaurant review. More

We've dined at a lot of places in NYC during our trip, but this one was the definite best of them all. BUT the lunch menu closes at 3 pm, make sure to get there before that! The exterior isn't very interesting or appealing, but the inside definitely is during lunch. A must. More

There are many excellent Indian restaurants in New York City. Chola holds its own with the best of them. One feature that breaks it out from the rest is a lunchtime buffet that includes a wide variety of choices, all prepared to perfection. In addition to the items on the buffet table, the kitchen delivers fresh nan bread, piping hot... More

We finished at MoMA and wanted Indian food. Using a smartphone and some basic searches, we stumbled on Chola. The best Indian food I've ever had and the standout meal of our trip. Everything was delicious, fresh, hot, well prepared and graciously served. The bhel pori starter stood out as especially tasty. Can't say enough good things about this place. More

Travelling by myself and ordered a soup and a couple of vegetarian appetizers. Variety far beyond the standard US Indian restaurant. Wonderful flavors. Would go out of my way to go back. More

I ordered take out and was very pleasantly surprised how good and fresh the food tasted. Took about 30 minutes to prepare and well worth the wait. Will definitely go back. They also have a sister restaurant in Westchester "Malabar Hill", which is my favorite Indian restaurant in Westerchester. More

We found this place quite by accident during our recent vacation to NYC but were sure glad we did! Had one of the best indian meals that we have ever eaten. Wonderful Tikka Masala and Sag Paneer, very attentive service and reasonably priced. Yum! More
