Description: Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.

We wanted to go to a special restaurant as it was our 10th anniversary and I booked Keens after looking at the reviews on trip advisor. We were not dissapointed, in fact it may have been one of the best meals we have ever had! After a long day travelling from England we didn't want a huge dinner and asked... More

I came here with two others for a quick business lunch, but left wishing I could have stayed longer. The setting is quaint and easily missable from the street, but inside is a restaurant that seems almost to have stopped in time. I understand it has been here and popular on the business scene for many, many years. It's the... More

We were very happy with every aspect of a May business dinner (private dining in Bull Moose room). Servers were friendly, attentive, and adapted well, first to our tardiness as a party, and particulary several guests who came even later, who were "caught up" seamlessly. If anything, they were too efficient (I think we were in just before 8 and... More

If you like steak and if you like very good, discrete service - please visit Keens Steakhouse. The place has a history and the food is very good. My husband and I shared an aged prime porterhouse and had the spinach with it. So simple and so good! I would also like to mention that the key lime pie was... More

We did not have any reservation but just tried our luck, since we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on the 35th Street and were only a couple of minutes away from the restaurant. We came in and were directed to the bar to wait for a table. We had drinks, cosmo and dry martini, both excellent and it did... More

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our son's college graduation and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and has historical ambiance. The service was great. We were having trouble deciding what to order and how much since there were 8 of us and our waiter's advice turned out to be spot on. The steaks were tender and juicy... More

Tried this classic steakhouse on our last trip to Manhattan. We were seated at a banquette along the wall, the tables were so close together that the table had to be moved to allow the person sitting against the wall to be seated. Given the tight space, it was impossible to have a private conversation. Waiter was efficient, but no... More

We were promptly and courteously seated at our reservation time and it went downhill from there. The menus were presented and about three minutes after, our server came and asked what we would like. We told him we would like to begin with a cocktail and another server came by to take our order. The cocktails were served and the... More

The atmosphere was wonderful and the service matched, especially from our hostess Christine. We did not have reservations, so she kept us informed as to how long our wait would be and enjoyed drinks in the lounge, before digging into the biggest ribeye steak I have seen. It was done to my likeing but almost to big, I had heard... More
