We used to love this place. But just went there last night & wasnt as good as a few years ago... now I would say it is on par with Carrabba's chain food. More

Excellent italian in a cool "old world" atmosphere. Good service and the best spaghetti and meatballs we have had anywhere. The table side service was nice and we liked the small dimly lit dining room. We ate a Becco on the same trip, which was nice also in a different way, and I could see why some might prefer, however,... More

I've just written two 5***** reviews for Butter and Cafe Boulud during R.W.This was the exact opposite experince. Pre-theater menu ,$45 Prixe Fixe,3 courses all not very good ,delivered by a surly waiter in an untimely fashion. 5:45 reservation, ordered by 6 pm sharp, and our entree was delivered approx 7:15....we're talking pasta and veal here, nothing fancy at all.Food was ok at... The atmosphere was so old world Italian that I half expected Tony Soprano to walk through the door, AND the food was of a quality to match! I love that place and would recommend to anyone who loves great Italian food. More

Any time we are able to spend a few days in New York City, my wife and I never miss an opportunity to dine at Wally's and Josephs Restaurant. We were introduced to the place by part time New York residents (Love Boat Captain) Gavin and Patti MacLeod, who told us it was their favorite New York spot. I always... More

The atmosphere was romantic and wonderful. The service was wonderful. The cost was very high and the food was just 'okay'. I was disappointed overall. More

Waited 45 minutes for our food, with no apologies. Yes, they were busy, but people who came in after us were served and left before we ever got our food. We asked our waiter what was wrong and got something mumbled about how it was busy. We asked the manager why we had to wait so long. He curtly told... More

This place is exactly what we were looking for. The place has a nice feel and is not to loud that you can't have a conversation. All of us loved our food except for the spaghetti and meatballs. The tilipa and the veal were outstanding. The apple tart dessart was definately the best. We got there at 6 and got... More
