Description: Please visit our website for more information including menus, reviews and photos, or stop at our bar to smell the roses. Jackets required downstairs, not upstairs... and for those days when gentlemen may not wish to wear jackets, lunch is also served upstairs under the skylight or by the fireplace. Electronic Devices, Cell phone, Blackberry, Laptop Computers... and misbehaving children are not allowed to annoy our guests. We recommend the care of a loving babysitter for the latter, and as for the use of electronic devices, we recommend another restaurant.

This is a classic part of New York. A must when the food must be as good as the room is pretty. Every meal I've had is amazing and the service is spot on. This must be one of NYC's rooms that everyone agrees is "Pretty". More

I had dinner with my family at La Grenouille on Saturday, May 5th. I can only say that I had the most wonderful meal, the service was outstanding and the food was superb. This is probably my favourite restaurant at NYC. You will not find many tourists here and if you are on a tight budget this is not your... More

I went to La Grenouille with my fiancee for our engagement dinner a few weeks ago and loved the place. The food and service was absolutely flawless, the ambience and interior is proper old school French, but clearly in a positive way... Can strongly recommend it. More

We went here to celebrate my mother's birthday, and it definitely lived up to it's reputation. Although it is not cool or chic eating here, is like traveling back in time to the glory days of fine dining in new york city. The dover sol was excellent and the soufflé was amazing. Two of my friends don't like chocolate and... More

This was our second time dining at La Grenouille and it was fabulous. We were lucky enough to secure a short-notice reservation and had an excellent table. This is really the last of the old school classic French restaurants in New York. The wait staff was gracious, professional and all spoke French. Perhaps what was the biggest surprise, was the... Do not expect innovative or modern cuisine nor a trendy atmosphere. Everything is very traditional and old fashion here, but in a good way. The waiters speak French among themselves. The room is always filled with flowers. The cheese and the chocolate souffles are both excellent. This place has remained solidly consistent for about 60 years. Impressive. More

Just had a lovely lunch. We arrived at 12:05 and were seated immediately the aroma from all of the beautiful flowers was a lovely introduction to a restaurant noted for its flowers and it did not disappoint. We started the lunch with a nice bottle of champagne and the Fisher Island oysters which were briny and plump. For the next... More

I've been wanting to try La Grenouille for a long time and finally got to have lunch there last week. It is like taking a day trip to Paris. The room is absolutely gorgeous with fresh flowers everywhere. The menu is classic French. I chose a special- Red snapper prepared in a bag and opened table side. When the server... More
