Description: We thank our patrons as La Grenouille celebrates its Fiftieth Anniversary. Please visit our website for more information including menus, reviews and photos, or stop at our bar to smell the roses. Jackets required downstairs, not upstairs... and for those days when gentlemen may not wish to wear jackets, lunch is also served upstairs under the skylight or by the fireplace. Electronic Devices, Cell phone, Blackberry, Laptop Computers... and misbehaving children are not allowed to annoy our guests. We recommend the care of a loving babysitter for the latter, and as for the use of electronic devices, we recommend another restaurant.

Just like what the title says, superb food, first class service and gorgeous atmosphere with the freshest and most beautiful flowers, La Grenouille surpasses all expectations and gives more bang for your buck. Old school has never been so trendy, thanks to my newest favorite restaurant in the world. Can't wait to dine there in the future.

A great dining experience at La Grenouille. A French haute, quite posh however the food and the service of the staff is simply outstanding. Don´t forget to bring a jacket, makes it all the more special, and this place is all about perfection.

We are out for dinner pretty much every night and this is the best restaurant in New York. Let me suggest that you begin with quenelle in lobster sauce and then have the duck or a fish or anything. Desserts are great so do that too. We're not wine types and Dale has a couple of Ketel One Vodka on... More

Right in the heart of midtown Manhattan, this restaurant offers a bit of European flair and superb French cuisine. You will love the food and the style is old school with all male waiters in white. You can tell they have been there for years and this is definitely a couples place for a romantic dinner. Be sure to gaze... More

We had a terrific dinner at La Grenouille. It is an old time deluxe New York restaurant, most of the seating along the walls, very posh, the food and service were both excellent, and I had some of the best fish I have every had. Highly recommended, though very expensive

Simply excellent French food served in a chic place. The dishes were amazing, we loved all corses. Be sure to remember to order at the beginning of the meal the souffle , it's very good( Suggest the grand marnier). Very nice as well for people watching. Remember to bring a jacket, it's a requirement.

Visited for dinner before a Saturday night show. Beautiful room with fabulous floral arrangements, classic team service, wonderful time-tested cuisine. Disappointed that the pike quenelle was no longer on the pre-theater menu, but the steaks we "settled" for were super - So tender you could cut them with a spoon. Great affordable wine recommendation by the manager (owner?) without even... More

I stopped eating in French places (and I am only half French by birth) about ten years ago, at the time when France got so ugly with the States that the folks in the congressional cafeteria decided to call their French fries Freedom fries. However, a dear friend came to visit and we wanted to go to a "good old... More

Jackets are mandatory for gentlemen even for lunch. The service is excellent and the food was pleasant. The filet mignon was not very tasty however the bernaise sauce improved the quality of the meat. The soufflés were wonderful for finishing a very nice luncheon.

Liked: The service (its almost industrial to see the workings and hierarchy of the restaurant service -which at la Grenouille is spotless). The food -especially the Chocolate Souffle and Gran Marnier Suffle. The Ambience, fresh flowers and subtle lighting -the restaurant interior appears in MadMen (should give you an idea of the style). Big thanks and greetings to Guillaume -from... More
