Description: Charlie Palmer's signature Progressive American cuisine first took root in the original townhouse location of Aureole, where the chef made an early commitment to farm over factory food. Today, Aureole continues to shine at One Bryant Park under the kitchen leadership of Executive Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware. Dining at the contemporary Aureole is staged in two venues: the formal dining room and more casual bar room. Designed with modern conviviality in mind, the smart, casual bar room offers a la carte access to many selections that share the same style and ingredients as tasting menu dishes from the Dining Room. Or, select from a list of inventive “bar snacks” for lunch and dinner, followed by indulgent desserts from pastry chef Pierre Poulin. Reservations can be made here for the Bar Room only. To be seated in the Dining Room, please visit the Aureole Dining Room.

Aureole has become our chosen place for pre-theater dining. I have been several times and have never een disappointed. They offer a $55 three course menu between 5-6 that is hard to beat. Choose from three appetizers, three entrees, and a two desserts. Service and food are excellent (as expected) and I think the fixed price menu offers excellent value.... More

I rate Aureole terrible not because it is terrible compare to the whole universe of restaurants but because it is terrible compare to other New York fine dining restaurants. Probably "poor" rating is more appropriate but since I expected much more, I rate my experience "terrible". Negatives 1. Disgusting location near Times Square. Some people here mentioned it is an... Picked it for a pre-theater dinner. Fantastic in all ways. Food absolutely superb, service very attentive but not intrusive, and very kind staff in all areas. Nothing but the best to say. More

This restaurant was recommended by our Concierge from The Sanctuary Hotel. He said he dined here the night before and highly recommended it. He was completely spot on! Everyone was attentive and our food was delicious! More

Had a delightful meal this past week. We ate in the restaurant not the Bar Room. The atmosphere is very enjoyable. It feels sophisticated but not stuffy. The service is very attentive. The food of course is the star. A nice variety to choose from and everything we had was delicious. I'm not a huge seafood lover but I had... More

Had dinner before a show. Started with a spiced root beer. Adults only! Yummy. Carpaccio appetizer was fabulous. Chicken entree was perfect skin on one side. It has been years since I ate chicken skin and it was worth it. Has chocolate coffee dessert and loved it. Service was fine until dessert was served. Had to flag waiter so we... More

Pricey but worth the splurge. The open airy feel with high ceilings still maintains a feeling of intimacy. The food is well prepared but smaller portions. Definitely a spot for the gastro-foodies! More

Wow! What a great dining experience. The service was outstanding and the food was so delicious and beautifully presented. In addition to our appetizer and main course we were served l'amuse bouche, a grapefruit palate cleanser, exceptional bread, and artistic jelly treats at the end. This was a superb dining experience.
