Looked for a Mother's Day venue in Noho area after a show at the Public Theater and found Il Bucolic which looked nice on line but really didn't know what to expect. This block of Bond Street is the epicenter of a revolution taking place in Noho/Bowery area with a mix of fascinating old and new architecture, stores, and restaurants.... More

Wonderfully romantic place. A bit overpriced, but worth it for the experience. Great wines and cheeses are delicious!

For a taste of old New York, try this off Bowery charmer with delicious Italian specialties and very kind service. The noise level on the weekend is pretty high so if this is an issue try it during the week but it is very cozy and welcoming despite the crowds Excellent non red sauce pastas, plenty of small plates to... The review just previous to mine had it right, I'm afraid. From start to finish, this was a restaurant that underachieved in every aspect of the business except for providing an appealing physical structure. It was as if the staff were in survival mode and could never get on top of things, always working to keep their heads barely above... More

From Bianca whom I confirmed my reservation with to Natasha the manager on duty on the evening of April 20, 2013, they all (Il Buco staff) need training on how to serve a good meal and how tend a table with customers. I I felt completely unwelcomed by the staff. I was told, more than once that my table was... More

We were strolling around the SoHo area when I stumbled upon multiple favorable reviews. We were there around 1230 on a Saturday and it was quiet- we beat the crowd because at 115 it was very busy. Our table of four was seated promptly and the atmosphere was very well appointed. We shared the olive oil tasting and the burrata... More

Used lonely planet and they have all the credit for this one. Gem of a restaurant. Shame we were downstairs in cellar (take a jacket-very cold) upstairs warmer and has more atmosphere. Food and wine top notch.

Four of us women shared a moderately priced wine and several small plates, having indulged in oysters earlier at the Oyster Bar at Grand Central. Each plate was an absolute delight ...pulpo, squab, polenta, tuna. The kale salad is a must and the ribs are also highly recommended by friends, though we did not try them. I will return for... More

We spent a very nice evening at Il Buco. I am told that the restaurant is always crowded. It was packed when we dined. The food is very good and not "typical" Italian.... more like a gourmet bistro. Very large an pricey wine list. Most of the seating is cramped. Service decent. Lively crowd.

Three weeks ago I had dinner with a friend at Il Buco. Although it was a cold week night, the restaurant was full. We sat in the cellar, which was unusual with a vast collection of wines. The food was excellent, although a bit expensive it was worth the price. I live in Italy so I know Italian food. This... More
