Nice place and nice music. Coffee and cappuccino are ok but nothing exceptional. Good muffin. Very loud music.
After 3 weeks of searching we found this blissful coffee shop right across from our hotel. As coffee fanatics we were desperate for a "real" coffee like we get in Australia and found it here. Worth waiting for- great chocolate chip cookies too. Make sure you visit if you are homesick for great coffee!
This sells really good coffee and is popular with New Yorkers by the look of it. It was good to have nice coffee served in a glass or cup for a change, rather than a paper cup which seems to be the norm. Very courteous service and a great ambience. We used it a few times during our stay at... More
The coffee is fantastic, which sometimes means a queue. I also like the fact that prices include tax, so you know what you will be paying for your coffee. Oh, and the freshly baked cookies ... mmmm, they're awesome.
Business trips with long days and jet-lag require decent coffee. After several experiences of undrinkable coffee from otherwise great New York hotels, a kindly concierge let me into her caffeine secret - Culture on W38th St. What a find - great coffee made a number of different ways. Friendly and efficient staff, a range of light breakfast snacks to stay... More
In fact this is probably the best coffee I've tasted anywhere. As a decaf drinker my expectation is usually pretty low but in Culture their only focus is on the coffee and it's superb, fruity, rich, aromatic, delicious. I went there every day on my recent week long trip. Their breakfast pastries are lovely too but don't expect a huge... More
My wife and I NEED our coffee every day so when so many people on here said the coffee in NYC was poor, we were worried! That was until we visited Culture Espresso! The flat white was perfect. We were very tired after our flight from Manchester, UK so this was our first port of call. The atmosphere was amazing.... More
I have always suffered from a lack of good coffee on trips to New York, which has always seemed, surprising, like a bit of a coffee desert. Now that I have discovered Culture, I choose hotels close by so I can have my morning fix of truly good coffee. The drip coffee is properly prepared, strong, rich, and wonderful. Worth... More
Excellent coffee and breakfast treats, even though the music was a little loud (I am showing my age)!
