Let me start by saying how much I love Marc Murphy's Landmarc. I love both locations and eat there regularly. I talked my friends into visiting Ditch Plains and talked up the food. It became clear when we walked up that the UWS mommies have found a home. A stroller used car lot greets you right away. There were kids... More

Went for a mid-week late lunch with niece and mother. Pretty empty, but it was 2pm. Cool decor, spacious tables and summer beach vibe. Good selection of salads and light lunch options, and simple but adequate kids menu. Service was casual and friendly. My mom liked that the tables weren't so close together and it had lots of natural light... More

When we walked in (around 7-8pm) there were families with kids at nearly every table. By the time we left a few hours later, it had morphed into more of a preppy-ish singles hangout for large groups. The food was good, especially the appetizers and lobster rolls. The cocktails were also very good. I can see why other people think... More

Been here a few times. Decent place to go in the neighborhood for a beer. The food is not as good as advertised (I have eaten here 5 or 6 times). I guess if there is one upside to it, it would be that it is very kid friendly with a decent kid's menu. Prices are sky high though for... More

Food was good but it took a very long time to be served. If you have kids it is a nice casual spot but be prepared to wait for your food. More

It's not like the Upper West Side needs another delicious restaurant to make me fat, but Ditch Plains is just that. We split some scrumptious jalapeño tater tots. I had the Cajun shrimp and andouille sausage grits. Fantastic, Rick flavor over the creaminess of the grits. My girlfriend got the lobster roll, which is reason enough to go there. The... More

Honest to God, I almost didn't order the lobster roll because I thought I was being a tad bit extreme spending $28 for lunch. But I am glad I went ahead and got it because it might be the most delicious thing I've eaten in a long time. The bun was piled ridiculously high with chunks of lobster-pure heaven. And... More

It's odd to have a surfer themed restaurant on the Upper West Side. The food was good, but the drinks were very expensive...twelve dollars for a lemonade. Service was just adequate and the room is almost too bare making it very loud. It's an odd place--it doesn't really have any personality. I can't fault the food but the decor isn't... More
