Description: The Rosi family, renowned in Italy for their family-owned and operated specialty meat company Parmacotto, and Tuscan-born, acclaimed chef Cesare Casella, collaborate to bring a unique Italian experience to New York’s Upper West Side at Salumeria Rosi Parmacotto. The 25-seat space was designed by Italian Oscar-winning set designer Dante Ferretti and draws inspiration from a traditional salumeria juxtaposed in modern scenery. Replicating the experience found in traditional salumeria throughout Italy, guests can purchase a pound of the highest-quality cured or cooked meats to take home, or gossip with friends over a glass of wine and a selection of small plates.

Order the selection of house-made meats and cheeses and you can't go wrong! Great wine selection and friendly informative staff. Nice place to eat outside with a great bottle of wine! More

Nice street cafe, especially when coupled with a glass of Prosecco. They serve small plates a lot like tapas but italian. I had a special bean salad to start, which was nothing special. The gnocchi was good but a bit sweet. With a glass of prosecco I spent almost $50 - still a bit hungry when I left. Luckily Jacques... More

We just went there with my 10 months old baby for lunch and they did not even had high chairs. Food was very good but very expensive for the quantity. More

Really enjoyed this unusual spot - half deli/half restaurant . Prices seemed very reasonable. Serving sizes In the small side but then you can try more things. The pork belly was awesome. More

Pros: really delicious unusual Italian food; Italian tapas with focus on meats/cold cuts; good wine list; fast service Cons: Fast service a little pushy in a pleasant way; limited seating paradoxically favors a larger group More

We had 8 people in our group for lunch, booked 2 tables in husband's and wife's name through Open Table and they worked out that it was really one group (not all restaurants seem to work this out - Open Table didn't let us book a table of 8 online). Had a wonderful lunch. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Antipasto... More

We visited here for lunch and found the tapas style menu to our liking, the anti pasta meats were full of flavor as was the pasta. The carne tapas meals were varied and again full of rich flavones. The desserts were simply outstanding. In all a great place to dine and share meals with. The wine list was also worthy... More

The noise level can be daunting, but there is a lot of variety on the menu and a wonderful selection of salumi and cheese. The Braseola is wonderful, as were the pork cheeks and the sausage and bean plate. Ask the chef to put together a salame and cheese plate for the table to share. Ask how many items are... More

A friend recommended Salumeria Rosi and so we made reservations and went for lunch (my friend and my 85-year-old and I). Our waitress was excellent (can't remember her name!) - the perfect mix of genuine and helpful. We decided to do family style with most of the dishes (except the soups) and it worked well. The plates are definitely small... More
