Description: Bar Boulud is Chef Daniel Boulud’s casual wine bar and bistro located across from Manhattan’s Lincoln Center. A sumptuous array of house made charcuterie complements classic bistro cooking at both lunch and dinner. The signature terrines and pâtés are served from a charcuterie bar with communal seating. In addition, the dining room includes a unique tasting table in the round, from which our sommelier can lead customized tastings for small parties. The wine list is the work of the renowned Daniel Johnnes. Bar Boulud’s cellar will be dedicated to two regions: Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, the region surrounding Boulud’s native city. Three private wine themed dining rooms adjacent to the visually striking walk-through wine cellar are available for private events. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner seven days and offers pre- and after theater dining as well as weekend brunch. Outdoor dining is available on the Broadway sidewalk terrace seasonally.

Average food with a bad attitude and rough service and above value prices. Not worth the visit nor the experience. Plenty other French small places that will provide you with great food and a good experience: More

We reviewed this when we were in NY last fall, and it was excellent--this time, not so much. We hope it is not going downhill, because the location is wonderful. It was the middle of a weekday afternoon (around 3:00), it was not busy, but the service was pitiful, unattentive and slow. One of the best things we had before... More

It's a great little bar that has expanded since I first when there buying the store next door. I've always had good food and wine here. Although not the cheapest of places. It has a good vibe and is usually very busy. Might be good to book. More

Had the Fixe Prix menu Service was excellent, I must say But the food...not so much. Starters: Soup was excellent. Best part of the meal. Potato and pumpkin (I think) The sandwich was dry and the meat was way tooooo salty Dessert was slightly better than the main. But nothing really special. It was good, but for the reputation and... I had been at Bar Boulud in London, and it was a marvelous experience. As I was in NYC, I thought it would be the same. What a difference! The staff, mainly an equatorian waiter that was serving us, did not speak good English, it was really hard to understand him (in London our waitress was French, but with a... More

I guess I'm not sophisticated enough to dine at this establishment. A working knowledge of French would be helpful. My steak was quite gristly. The waiters French accent disappeared mid meal. No reason to come back. To many choices in Manhattan. More

Went with family; most dishes were average; one - excellent, one - not good. Service was very good, location - needless to say, awesome. Overall - not particularly good, not too bad either. On balance - probably not worth the money. More

If you want to know what a hand crafted cocktail is then go to Bar Boulud. They take cocktails seriously. They know the correct way to mix almost any drink. Great Service - everything a cocktail lounge should be! More
