Watched TV segment and had to try that sandwich. Wasn't disappointed. This place is amazing. Go early . . . they are super busy!

Saw it on Triple D I had the featured sandwich the Chipotle Pastrami. All I have to say is Dayum. That is it. *Edit...we ate it cold and hours later b/c we grabbed it and ran to take part in a 2 hour tour. Still damn good.
I thought I had eaten a sandwich before. But this was out of this world good. Very busy and loud, but value for lunch can't be beaten.
Be hungry because the pack it on...A bit out of the way but worth it if you are in the area. At lunch time be prepared to wait. My favorite is the pastrami.
We tried Sam LaGrassa's because of the fabulous reviews at Tripadvisor. Everyone in our party except me seemed smitten with the food- it was good, but we waited a long time and the atmosphere was noisy and very crowded (obviously, because it's such good food). Each sandwich was piled with tons...

Sam LaGrassa's is where I go when I want a great pastrami sandwich. I usually order the Pastrami Traveler's, which is about 2-3" of pastrami, cheddar, dijon, tomato, and onion on rye. Three people in our group, each ordered a different sandwich and everyone was delighted ! Long lines, moved pretty fast, but well worth the wait.
the sandwiches were great, the location was convenient, however they were expensive ($50 for lunch for 3) and you are expected to know what you want to order immediately. They are so busy that you have literally seconds to decide.
This place seems to be a Boston icon. The sandwich was a little pricey but delicious. I had pastrami with honey mustard. It's more of a take away place so there are few tables and it is quite casual.
