My son had the flank steak again which was wonderful. I ordered the Prime Rib - it was more like a mini roast! Every bite was fabulous! The only disappointing thing about dinner was the wonderful bread - the bottom was burnt.

Eastern Standard exceeded my expectations. I live in New York City, so consider myself to have a fairly high standard for a restaurant experience. Eastern Standard was perfect. They have an excellent wine (and beer) list. The service was flawless. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The steak tartar was delicious and perfectly paired with a spicy... More

This place is great - there is always a really good atmosphere, the staff are lovely and really helpful without being overbearing, and most importantly the food is delicious. I came here with some friends for dinner on a Tuesday evening and it was packed. But you never feel it's too much because tables are well spaced out. Our waiter... More

We had lunch here after checking into Hotel Commwealth, We don't usually like to eat at hotel restaurants, but decided to give it a try. Lunch was delicious, the staff wonderful and the location perfect. We sat outside on the (heated) patio and experienced Boston as we enjoyed our delicious lunch. We ate breakfast here every day during our stay.... More

Came for brunch and as always Eastern Standard was great! In spite of this place almost always being packed, the tables are large and well spaced so you never feel like you're on top of the table next to you. If you're coming for Sunday Brunch I'd recommend a reservation, people showing up without one were looking at a 40... More

The bartender's specialize in making fabulous mixed drinks. The restaurant is attached to the hotel. Restrooms are upstairs from the bar. Very nice atmosphere.

I really loved our dining experience at Eastern Standard. Our server was very knowledgeable about the drink, beer, and food menu. When she noticed the style of beer we were ordering, she also brought us a cellared beer list to choose from. Appetizers - charcuterie; all house made; clams and local oysters - all super fresh and the way seafood... More

We love this place! Ate there about a dozen of times, and always enjoyed. We usually come for dinner, but tried the brunch as well. You'd better make a reservation, otherwise you will most likely gonna have to wait. The food is always delicious, and the service is as professional as it gets. The servers are always very courteous and... More
