We stayed at the Hyatt, and they recommended this place as a locally owned restaurant, that served great seafood. This place was awesome! Get the lobster bisque, it's the best I've had. The baked stuffed lobster was great as well. You should definitely check this place out if your in Boston! More

The first time I had lunch at Skipjacks (2010), my entire family enjoyed their meal. The clam chowder was creamy and tasty the oysters were fresh and delicious and the fish well seasoned and the service great. I had my graduation dinner there last night with a larger party and overall, we were not happy. Everyone but me said the... More

Eight of us had a lengthy lunch at Skipjack's following a graduation. We shared appetizers and had a variety of entrees for lunch. Service was attentive and efficient The mussels were great as was the calamari. We had a variety of fish dishes as entrees and there were only compliments to be heard. Great choice for a group. More

Their crabcakes win my personal all-time-favorite award--but order without the sauce (it's overpoweringly mustardy). I order crabcakes every time I'm on the East Coast and Skipjack's are THE BEST. All crabmeat, no fillers, fresh and sweet. Yum! Great service, pleasant atmosphere, couldn't ask for better! More

Met with friends and family there the other night before a big art opening at the Public Library and it was the perfect spot. We got a table right away and the manager couldn't have been nicer. Our server was very helpful making sure we ordered items that made best use of our limited time and her guidance truly gave... More

We asked our hotel to recommend a seafood restaurant that was local and not touristy. This is what they came up with. The clam chowder was ok, but was salty with no real cream taste. I ordered a lobster roll. There was lots of lobster, little seasoning, no creaminess. The roll had no butter and was burned on the bottom.... More

First, I did not visit the actual restaurant. I had it delivered through dinein.com. My expectation wasn't extremely high, as I know seafood is at its best immediately after it's cooked. When the food arrived, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The fried seafood had a delicate, not thick batter. The clams and scallops were ok but there... More

It was our second time to Skipjack's. On both occassions we've had a late lunch. This year, we started with the crab cake. Lots of jumbo crab - large enough for 2. We ordered the fried clams and salmon as our main entrees. Clams were sweet and my wife enjoyed the salmon. Wait staff was very friendly. Overall very consistent... More

Really good seafood at reasonable prices. Good wines by the glass. Great for lunch, too, if you are sightseeing in Back Bay. More

Even though it is a sit down restaurant, I have had on several occasions to rush my meal because of the press of business. The wait staff courteously delivers. Love the chowder, the caesar salad and the fish and chips. A great place for a working lunch. not too loud even when crowded. More
