We were there just before Memorial Day. We thought the food was marginal and the service was very slow. There were not many people when we went for dinner at 5:30 More

After our harbor cruise we walked over to the Chart House and were seated inside on the second floor. it is a beautifully decorated historic building and the place was busy for a Sunday mid afternoon. We ordered their famous Clam Chowder and it was excellent. We also shared calamari and it too was fresh and tasty. The service was... More

Okay s0 it was graduation week-end. However, this was not the first time BU had one! We had a confirmed (since February) reservation for 8:15 PM. Everyone was there early and were not worried about waiting 5 or 10 minutes. However, after 60 minutes of useless excuses we were NOT happy at all. One of our party had a train... More

We have had some very pleasant experiences at this restaurant, in the bar and dining outside. This time, it was a Sunday afternoon and we went in for a drink and sat at the bar. The bar and tables were not busy, but the outside tables were full, so the place had plenty of business. The weird thing was as... More

This restaurant has a nice patio, with views towards downtown Boston and the wharf, but the food is very expensive and less than average. The “award winning” chowder ($7.50) is salty and has shell flakes in it and the seafood is hard, meaning it is not fresh. The chowder served at Red Lobster is much better. The grilled seafood platter... More

Good variety on menu, service on a Sunday later afternoon was slower than it should be. Needs cleaning up on inside. No one seemed to sweep up any debris on floor. Food was average in quality, but overpriced for what you got. Cleanliness and better service would have earned another star More

Have dinner in a 1760's building once the office of John Hancock. Friendly service. Seafood is great but if you need something different I suggest the Chicken Ramano. Order you dessert first, it take 30 minutes to prepare the Hot Chocolate Lava Dessert. More

We waited an exceptionally long time for our table even though we were told it was in the process of being cleared - we were a large party and we tried to be patient but after checking several times we were always told the same thing - it is in the process of being cleared. Our meal was fine -... More

We recently visited the Chart house while on vacation. We were looking for outdoor seating at a place with good seafood. The location was perfect for meeting up with family coming off the ferry but the service was very slow. we had 3 kids sitting in the hot sun (umbrellas don't tilt at all) who waited nearly 45 minutes for...
