Description: Co-Owners Brian Piccini and Executive Chef Christopher Coombs are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave’s (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

High expectations for a great meal were surpassed with the wonderfully prepared dishes at Deuxave. The duck confit, beet salad, duck pate and morels were amazingly flavorful and artfully presented. On the other hand, the duck breast went far beyond amazing as it was the very best duck breast I have tasted in my life.....nicely crusted, flavorful and yet extremely... More

Deuxave's pleasant and quiet interior complements the quality and delicacy of its entrees and aperitifs. We enjoted the duck and exotic beet aperitifs. The duck in particular comprised a generous portion and was delightfully prepared. Our beef and pasta entrees were also exceptional. Service was prompt and courteous.

I just was seat at the bar and i see a Valet parking approching to one of the host and the he asked for some water and they reply that they can't because they only serve in glass, i think that it is not good for a business to treat any kind of person especially denying water what a shame.

Our group of 11 booked a prix fixe dinner and worked with sommelier Jason to select two lovely wines for a terrific evening. Great food, impeccable service, great ambience.

We were looking to try someplace different within a short walk of Symphony Hall, and saw the many glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, we were not as enthralled as other reviewers have been. Positive - The food is creative ( maybe overly so) and delicious, although the chef seems to try to put as many ideas on a plate as... More

Went to several highly rated restaurants (Hammersleys, City Landing) in Boston and wasn't overjoyed until we went to Deuxave. Fantastic and friendly service from hostesses and server. Food was well presented and flavorful without being overly rich. Steak and duck were excellent. Beet appy was perfect. Would highly recommend! Located between "2 avenues" of Massesschusetts and Commonwealth, close to shopping... More

I walked for several hours in a windy cold day with my husband and our 5 year old before you entered the restaurant. the friendly, warm environment is extremely relaxing. Although we were all tired, we still had a very good experience. The food was great, our server was very helpful. The atmosphere was romantic. Thanks to Deuxave for the... More

In boston for a conference. Brought a colleague and my wife for dinner. Had to wait 20 mins for table despite reservation. Things improved dramatically after seated. Service perfectly pitched formality yet relaxed and friendly. Nice not to be hurried or pushed toward bottled water - we were reassured that Boston Tap water is "pretty good". Amuse bouche ceviche was... More

I was looking for a special occasion restaurant to celebrate my daughter's graduation and turned to Tripadvisor for some suggestions. I have dined at some fabulous restaurants based on fellow reviewer recommendations and now I have another one to add. We were earlier than I expected to be and the hostess very pleasantly moved our reservation up by an hour.... More

I've been lucky enough to eat out in many good restaurants over my lifetime, but this one was quite superb. An amusing, helpful and - it turned out - very truthful server, a modest menu of uniformly excellent dishes, and a good wine list combined with a wonderful informal atmosphere (where any dress style was ok) to result in a...
