I can see how the outdoor seating would elevate the dining experience but nothing we ate or drank was special. There are so many more impressive Mexican restaurants in the greater Boston area from a culinary (and a drink) perspective (Ole & Zocalo to name 2). I won't be revisiting this place. More

Went here twice in the past month. The first time I ordered chicken fajitas ($16.95), which was soaked with a heavy sauce/seasoning that drowned out the flavor of the chicken, peppers, and onions. On the second visit, I had Ensalada Con Pollo al Grill. ($13.95) It was served with grilled chicken strips, tomatoes, avocado, guacamole, and lettuce. Enjoyed this far... More

I'm from Chicago where good quality Mexican restaurants are literally lining the streets in some parts (Berwyn anyone?) In Boston not so much...Salvadorian places will give you Mexican choices, but it's not really Mexican is it? This place does the real deal and well in Chicago I would give this place a 3stars here in Boston it definitely gets 4. More

We got to the restaurant at 5:45 on a Friday night, and were one of the first customers in the place. Although we had made a reservation, we wouldn't have needed one. We all had combination platters, so we got a variety of foods to try. The mixed grill for One was excellent. It comes with Chicken, Beef, Chorizo and... More

I ate here last night and it was so delicious!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We had a buywithme deal – one appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert for two people for $30, which they honored even though BuyWith Me was bought out by GiltCity. The restaurant was almost completely full when we arrived, on a Monday night, at 7pm but we were... More

Sol Azteca opened in 1973 on the Boston-Brookline line on Beacon Street, and for the first 20 years of its existence, I lived just two blocks away on Beacon Street. From the very beginning, this vaunted establishment offered superb, authentic, and wholly consistent cuisine; it was not just my favorite neighborhood eatery but also without a doubt the best Mexican... This restaurant is the best authentic Mexican rest. in MA. The sangria is superb! The salsa is the best! All menu items are great. The service is wonderful and some waiters are still there from when the restaurant opened in the 1970's!!! More

Went with a large group of people and the service was excellent. Food was good - not amazing. The sangria was pretty strong! Dine outside if you can. More

Sol Azteca is a great place for Mexican food in the Boston area. The chicken and cilantro dish I had was delicious; I ate it all and brought nothing home. The menu is basically what you’d expect from a place that serves only Mexican cuisine and the portions are plenty big. Our friends who ordered drinks seemed pleased and even... More

Honestly, my husband and I love Mexican and authentic rMexican restaurants are hard to find in the metro Boston area. We drive 45 minutes from the burbs to eat here. The food is exceptional with really good (and strong!) margaheritas. Cool atmosphere in a Boston brownstone with outdoor seating during the warm months. Service is always friendly and good. I...
