North End, tourist trap, expensive, average food at best and unless you know where you're going a pretty hit and miss experience. La galleria 33 was a pleasant surprise. Dishes were well prepared, ingredients were fresh, service great and prices reasonable. A little off the beaten track, which helps. Parking the usual nightmare for the North End, so expect to... Took my daughter to dinner Tuesday night, yet another awesome night at Galleria 33! The Veal dishes are the best! Having dined in San Francisco, and New York, the North End of Boston, and Galleria 33 are the best. You're treated like you're family when your there, Tuesday was Lisa's Birthday, and her family came down from L'Osteria (the second... More

We dined here as walk-ins without reservations on a busy Saturday night during the NCAA basketball playoffs. The hostess worked to find a spot for us, and we were seated almost immediately in a virtually-full house. I had the Veal Piemontese, which was wonderfully flavorful with prosciutto, fontina cheese, fresh spinach and sun dried tomatoes in a porcini mushroom sauce.... More

Nice little Italian restaurant off the main drag, on Salem Street. Quiet, good service, good wine, very good food. I had Frutti di Mare (Calamari, clams, shrimp in a tomato sauce over linguini), it was excellent. My companion had rack of Lamb and loved it. Superior to the more popular, better known restaurants on Hanover. I recommend and will repeat. More

My wife and I keep trying different restaurants in Boston's North End. Some are better, some are not. We keep coming back here; great food, good prices and a fabulous waitstaff. It's a little off the beaten path, most of the restaurants are on Hanover St, but the extra walk is worth it. More

Reasonably priced, good quality food with generous portions. We shared the house antipasto and enjoyed the bread basket. Gnocchi were tasty as was the chicken which was layered in spinach, cheese and prosciutto and had a nice wine and garlic sauce and came with a side of pasta. No room for dessert since the portions were generous. Peroni beer on... More

I went to galleria 33 on New Year's Eve with a party of 4. Made reservations using Open Table for 6:00. We arrived early and were seated immediately. We order an Italian antipasti to start. It included fresh prosciutto, caprese salad, sweet peppers, salami and cheese. A perfect size for the 4 of us to share before the meal. We... More

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon in November for a late lunch w/ my sister, husband and our combined 5 kids (ages 9-16). We ordered an antipasti for the table to share (the kids mainly enjoyed the bread basket, which the wait staff refilled w/out our asking) and it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entree choice, which included: seafood... More

A 7pm reservation for a Saturday night, seated within 5 minutes. The menu is simple. We, my wife and visiting friends, found the prices equal to the suburbs north of Boston and the food suburb. The staff was courteous and easy to work with. We will be back and our friends from N.C. will be too. A nice place off of... More
