Fabulous lunch is served here! Oysters are fresh and sweet. The crab cake sliders were to die for, and don't forget to order a martini!
We have used a private dining room with a party of 20. It was a business dinner and the server has given us very attentive service and we did not have any complaint. The seafood was fresh and tasty. We will come back to this reastaurant next year.
Went here when couldn't get reservation at Island Creek Oyster Bar. Wife and I were pleasantly surprised. Menu, food, service and atmosphere were extraordinary. Seafood fresh with many options. This is now favorite seafood restaurant in Boston, although raw bar was bit better at Island Creek.
My colleagues and I just returned from a multi-day business trip to Boston; I dined with them at The Oceanaire on the final night (a Sunday). Three from the group had enjoyed dinner on the previous Friday (raving about it afterward), so we all returned two nights later. The walk from our hotel (Nine Zero) was short and the building... More
We ordered our food at 7pm. The appetizers arrived an hour later and the entrees at 9pm. Nobody dared ordered coffee or dessert in case they arrived at midnight. No real apologies, just the excuse that "the kitchen is very busy". This spoiled the overall experience. The food was ok/good - the chowder was unexceptional but the entree of sea... More
My first introduction to The Oceanaire Seafood Room; my colleague has been to many in different cities in the U.S. He chose the location as it was close to his office and he had not yet been disappointed. We had a great lunch. The lobster bisque was excellent; my colleague had the New England Clam Chowder which he said was... More
We were in the mood for raw oysters and chilled lobster. After explaining to the concierge that we didn't want to be all dressed up and fancy he made a call and got us a seat at the bar. The restaurant is gorgeous inside but still casual enough for jeans and a nice shirt. The bar staff who also served... More
Very nice ambiance, feeling upscale, and very exhaustive menu. Cold seafood appetizers were generous and very fresh, albeit with no special creativity in the presentation. Clam chowder was delicious and not too creamy. The entrees came enormous but the overall presentation completely lacked refinement. Again all products seemed quite fresh but the entrees themselves tasted bland or overly spicy, annihilating... More
We had a wonderful experieince at Oceanaire in April. We almost decided not to return on this trip.....it was so good last time, could a second visit live up to the first? We are so glad we decided to visit Oceanire again. The food was fabulous! The waiter made a point of telling us what was special about the evening's... More
Ever since our favorite seafood resturant in Boston, Anthony's Pier 4, has closed down. My wife and I have been seeking for a new place. Oceanaire, we thought cuold fill in for the time being. The service is first class, I had no problem in getting my single malt scotch. My wife ordered the 2 pound lobter and I the... More
