We had dinner while visiting family here in Asheville, NC based on their recommendation. This restaurant delivered over and over. It is a true spanish cuisine. The portions are smaller and perfection with every bite. The wine choices were spectacular as well as the cosmo I ordered while waiting on appetizers. I had the toasted marcona almonds with sea salt,... More

Dinner for four on a Sat pm. Outstanding. Noisy and crowded at a lousy table but menu and food more than made up for it. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, unique flavorful dishes. Excellent spot

That acorn-fed pork steak is amazing. Lots of tasty dishes--dozens of different flavors. It's a bit of a "destination" restaurant, so there is a crowd. Make a reservation!

Went on Sunday afternoon. While there is a special brunch menu, you also can order from the regular tapas menu. While the tapas preparations may be different from those experienced in Spain, my wife and I both enjoyed the ones we had. Try the ham sampler - excellent presentation of three Spanish hams. Service was friendly and fast, despite the... More

Hyperbole? No. This place gets it right- service and food that are simply fantastic. Great flavors, creative presentations, and wonderful staff. You may not be able to get a reservation, so try walking in for a seat at the bar.

Very crowded and full of tourists. Tapas = long waits for little plates. A Spanish imported waiter serving food prepared by white anglos does not equate authenticity. I guess it's just a matter of perspective: Asheville is not Spain.

We tried seven or eight different dishes and a pitcher of Sangria to wash it all down! Fabulous! But make your reservations in advance, this place is very popular.

The title says it all, finally Great Tapas in Asheville. Chicken livers in pasta didn't sound too good but we decided to trust them and it was wonderful (pâté flavour) and was one of 5 dishes that left 2 of us nicely satisfied, not feeling stuffed. I like to cook so we eat well at home and there are very... More

Being a self trained chef, the authentic food experience was my # 1 goal. I found it in Curate. We went for lunch and got seated right away. For someone not experienced in Spanish tapas, there is definitely no problem there! When our server Krista came to the table, we asked her to recommend tapas and not only was she... More

Went to Asheville on a girl's getaway and had a fun dinner at Curate. We sat at the bar and our server was great. I enjoyed the mushrooms, eggplant and tuna salad. The food is fresh and has distinctive taste and being a tapas restaurant, the dining experience is casual and unique.
