Capurros is at the west end of Fisherman's Wharf at Aquatic Park. Any restaurant in this area has the dilemna of serving two clienteles: locals and tourists. Paul Capurro and family do it well. They have been in the fish and restaurant business for about a 100 years. Speaking as a local, my wife and I have lunch there about once... More

We were in the area of Hyde Pier and were late for lunch, so we dropped in to a mostly empty restaurant around 3 pm. We were immediately seated and in quick order offered some lovely bread and balsimic and vinegar dip. Perfect. We had a great lunch of fish tacos and also clam pasta. I can't speak for the... More

As we wandered around Fisherman's Wharf, we found this restaurant and it looked appealing based on the menu and what we could see inside. I'm so glad we tried it! This was one restaurant that we could have repeated several times during our trip. The food tasted fresh and delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. I tried the... More

you might be tempted to stop at any of the fish restaurants in Fisherman's Wharf - and odds are you wouldn't go wrong. But I must tell you that Paul Capurro is a superb chef and he's learned his trade from his mother and grandmother - and he's making them proud. A big amiable Sicilian with a winning smile and... Last year while visiting the wharf I went to this restaurant twice - it was that good. Excited to take my husband there this time and the food was just as delicious. Love the cold crab on the bed of steaming hot pasta! He had a salad and oysters Rockerfeller. He said it was great! When I'm in San Francisco,... More

Capurro's was recommended by a street vender. My family and I decided to go. We looked at the prices of other places on the way. Cappurro's was cheaper. Our server Kelly was on top of everything from food and drink service to just hospitality. The other employees were helping everyone also, it was a team effort. The owner and cook... More

The sand dabs and lobster ravioli (that night's special) were tender, tasty and perfectly prepped. The extra treat was having a delightful visit with one of the Capurros who welcomed us, gave us menu tips and shared some fun history of the restaurant. We thought we'd have a typical tourist experience, but this was not the case. Terrific service and... More

My husband and I ate at Capurro's for dinner once only. We had no complaints about the service or the time it took to produce the meals. However, with the exception of the two sampler plate starters we ordered the food was an absolute disgrace. I ordered salmon which was over cooked and served in small cubes when I was... More

Capurro's is slightly expensive and slightly out-of-the-way at Fisherman's Wharf. Nonetheless this place delivers very solid seafood dishes. The butter-garlic-white wine sauce for the baked crab is just divine. I've been here several times and have yet to be disappointed. More
