My wife and I had a spectacular dinner here. The restaurant has about 13 tables so you will need reservations. The food is extremely fresh. Not hidden in deep strong sauces but an awesome blend of mild fresh flavours that work excellent together. The service is amazing as well. I used to work in fine dining restaurants and it is... More

My husband, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this small restaurant. The food was excellent with a nice selection. Eric, one of our waiters was so attentive as were the other waiters and went the extra mile to provide us with some sample appetizers. I would definitely visit this gem again. The wine selection that accompanied the dinner menu was also... More

Allegro's is quite small and that is good because you are made to feel like family. Whenever we have eaten there, we have ended up visiting with others at a nearby table. The service is good as is the food. More

My husband came here for Valentine's Day dinner. The restaurant is located in the Russian Hill neighborhood. The service was impecable- friendly, attentive and prompt. The atmosphere is lovely- works great for a romantic dinner or a business meeting. The food was good. I can't say that it was the best italian food I've ever had but it was good. More

I ate here with 3 friends and the owner waited on us hand and foot. Truly exceptional service. The food was fresh and bountiful. We had steak, fresh Mediterranean Sea Bass and a seafood pasta. All very well prepared and spiced. The was reasonable and the grappa and port after dinner were very nice. All in all, a great little... More

Loved the wine, appetisers...our 2nd visit. Everything was lovely. Wis H the steak would have been better. By the time the wait staff checked in with us everyone was done, except mine. They were kind enough to leave off the bill, but still disappointing. More

My wife and I ate here last week. We were looking for a small neighborhood Italian restaurant, found this place on yelp and luckily got a reservation. It was a wonderful experience. Food was great (caprese, shaved black truffle risotto, sea bass, and gelato rolled in chunks of chocolate for dessert). But even better than the food, if that's possible,... More

I joined a few business colleagues at Allegro Romano for a fantastic dinner while in SF last week. This is not a place I would have ever found on my own, and certainly not going to walk to, being on top of Nob Hill. We shared appetizers, including a wonderful mushroom trifolati, and bruschetta, followed by three half-pasta, with the... More

I love this place. First, the food (Italian of course) is amazing. Second, the atmosphere is intimate and very, very beautiful. Third, the service is exemplary. There is no wonder why so many of San Francisco's elite eat here, not to mention Hollywood celebs. Lorenzo (the owner) has a terrific restaurant here. More
