It was loud, it was expensive, the service was sour, and the food was nothing to go through all that for. Try Farine down the street on 18th, or Bar Tartine on Valencia.

Busy, very busy neighborhood restaurant. A family friendly restaurant with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We had booked into a number of restaurants taking some of the best as rated by trip advisor, however we mentioned them to friends who lived in San Francisco and our hotel concierge who gave us a different list. This was one of their recommendations and I'm so pleased we went there. It was the best dining experience we had...

The waiters are friendly and nice and helpful. Comprehensive wine list. The beans w/ squid...

an almost perfect dough, just a little bit too overcooked in the center for my taste, but definitely above average. Excellent toppings: I had 4 formaggi, with provola, fresh tomato sauce and basil, and great fiordilatte mozzarella. I stopped by as the pizzas on the sidewalk tables looked too good not to try them!

Anytime I'm anywhere near San Francisco I demand a stop to this place. Like a lot of places in the Mission, Delfina is almost always packed. So definitely be prepared to wait. Toppings are simple and fresh, but it's the thin crust on these pizzas that will keep you coming back!

Been here 11 years and this is one place I have ALWAYS been able to count on. Food is spectacular. A must if you are visiting, or have not tried it. You will not be dissapointed.
