We always enjoy Sunday brunch at Il Fornaio. The eggs benedict and pancakes are wonderful. The service is great. It's a very pleasing atmorsphere. We were disappointed on our most recent visit, however, when they did not have pure maple syrup!

This chain is always a good choice. We visited this location on a recent trip to SF and booked the Tuscan room for a group dinner. The food and service both excellent. Menu
prices quite reasonable with good portion size. Would not hesitate to visit again.

with so many Italian restaurant in San Francisco, Il Fornaio stands out because they provide a good service all the time. I know, I can get a table there even in weekends or holidays. I enjoy good food, but I really do not like to eat at a small/tiny restaurants. If you have large family and kids, I recommend this place...

We recently dined at Il Fornaio on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. As the reviews on this site reflect, this is a traditional homestyle Italian restaurant that provides honest and unpretentious food. My colleague stated that a good test of an Italian restaurant is the quality of its vitello limone which he indeed ordered. The veal was of the...

If you are looking for a upscale Italian Resturant that is family friendly ( the 9 yr old son love the thin crust pizza ) will remind you of your Italian grand mothers cooking this is the place. Fresh home made pasta, try the large rigatoni with vodka sauce or the shimp/muscles with red sauce. The bread, just the best...

This supposedly highly rated restaurant must have had their "B" squad working the night we were there. Each of the four in our party ordered a thin crust pizza and 3 of the 4 had to be sent back because they were very undercooked, the dough was actually partially raw still in the middle. Even when they came back actually...

We have been members of the "Passport to Italy" promotion for @ least 5 years so I can say that first..what a fun program and second that we have never had a disapointing experience. The pastas are authenic and the flavors and ingredients are fresh. The portions are generous..so an appitizer and entre are plenty and you could have room...

Friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. Beautiful environment. Wonderful experience. My wife has problems with some spices and the chef came out to talk with her and the resulting dish was superb. Food was excellent, ingredients fresh. Deserts absolutely top-notch. We couldn't have enjoyed an evening more.
