Grubstake is one of those fantastic little finds you could walk right past without even noticing! It's billed as a Portuguese American restaurant, but don't let that confuse you. I didnt notice this place, probably I normally pass it during the day. It opens late around 5pm and stays open till 4am. Portugees owners, with home cooked Portuguees specialities on the menu. This little eatery on Pine Street between Polk and Van Ness is a must for those who want good food, well prepared and at a reasonable price.
