After having been to Grubstake three times, I'm finally prepared to write a review. If I'm being honest, that's because this is the first time I can actually REMEMBER my dining experience at Grubstake. I've only ever dined at this classy establishment between the hours of 2A and 4A, so the first two times were more than a little blurry....

Visited back in November of 2011. It was a weeknight. I used to enjoy coming here, but when I went with my friend- the service was terrible. Myself, my friend were the only customers in the place- as our experience went on, I began to see why.

I liked the burgers best, especially with the french...

we walked past it by chance and decided to stay and we had a very nice dinner. Burgers were good and so were the portuguese buffalo wings. Homemade apple pie was excellent.

This little eatery on Pine Street between Polk and Van Ness is a must for those who want good food, well prepared and at a reasonable price. It's not fancy by a long shot and the decor is what I call San Francisco funky; but the food is extraordinary - always fresh and prepared to your liking. Daily specials always...
