Description: Fang is the sister restaurant of wildly popular restaurant, House of Nanking. Fang embodies both modern and authentic Chinese cuisines in a fine dining setting serving traditional Chinese fare, dim sum, as well as "off the menu" innovative dishes for the adventurous. Chef Peter Fang believes that good-tasting food is universal and should not be bound by how dishes were made in the past. With Chef Peter’s trademark inventiveness and eye for quality, the menu evolves and changes based on seasonally fresh ingredients from the same local Chinatown markets Peter has visited for decades. For fresh seasonal Chinese food in an elegant and modern setting, visit Fang.

I was visiting California with my family and stumbled across this Chinese restaurant one night for dinner. When the owner learned that this was our first time visiting the restaurant (and the area for that matter), he immediately scooped up our menus and served us a delicious sampling of appetizers, entrees and even dessert. Everyone in our group of 7... More

The owner talked with us for quite awhile. Asked us "anything you can't eat because of dislikes or religion?" When we said no, he snatched the menu, smiled, and said I will make something fresh for you. And he then asked me specifically what I liked and made something fresh for me. Absolutely phenomenal place. Great happy hour too! More

San Francisco has some excellent Chinese restaurants, but Fang still excels thanks to its creative cuisine. Just ask owner Peter Fang to recommend some dishes. The fish soup, and steamed prawns and clams with egg custard are simply delicious! More

We had the best Chinese cuisine meal at Fang. The Sesame Chicken is amazing! It is truly one of the most flavorful dishes we have ever enjoyed. The service is very efficient and they do make recommendations to balance out your meal should you choose to share entrees with your party. They are quick, so some may take their speedy... More

We couldn't have been more pleased with this excellent Chinese restaurant. We told our server what sorts of things we liked, and she picked the dishes for us. The spare ribs were to die for. The scallion pancake was different than I've had it elsewhere, but was absolutely wonderful. If you only go out for Chinese once in San Francisco,... More

The dishes here are excellent and delivered to your table as they are ready. This may mean that some entrees come out before an appetizer, but the food is worth the awkwardness. The prices are very fair, especially for the location. The place is usually pretty busy for lunch and dinner, so reservations are recommended for a larger party. More

We happened to be in The City for Chinese Neq Year. Our concierge was able to get us dinner reservations at Fang. We were very happy with our meal and the service. I personally greatly enjoyed the hot detoxifying fruit "tea", it was delicious. More

Loved the Lettuce Wraps with chicken. Salt and Pepper Chicken is awesome. I'm dying to try some shrimp items. I've gone for lunch during a conference at Moscone Center, they had to open the downstairs dining room and it was just crammed. They managed to keep up with the rush. This place is filled with business people, it's not cheap... More
