Not far from Fisherman's Wharf & worth the walk. It feels like more of a neighbourhood cafe than a trendy touristy cafe. The service was fast, friendly & efficient and the food was good. We had the Mexican omlette and French toast & were happy with both meals. There's also some great artwork to look at on the walls as... More

This cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch. We ate breakfast here our last day and enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly and the food was good value for money. There is a place not too far away called Mama's that everyone waves about but there is always a wait. At Pat's it was not crowded or noisy... More

Went on Mother's Day. No line, great art on the walls, and the most delicious food! You can't go wrong!

I headed here between Lombard st and Coit tower as my feet needed a rest! The breakfast menu is fantastic and the pancakes lived up to the Rough Guide recommendation. The service was superb and I sat in the window watching the world go by. A nice selection of paintings displayed on the walls.

Awesome food, good coffee! The salmon scrabble is wonderful. The jam on the table was great. Get there early to get a good seat.

This place is great for breakfast, the staff are very friendly, lots of places to sit, bottomless coffee, gorgeous pancakes, will set you up for the day as the portions are big. Def worth a visit instead of heading down to fishermans wharf for a boring pastry and coffee.

Went back to Pat's for breakfast. Hadn't been there in quite some time. Place has some updates but still the same great food and great attitude. Love this place.

My boyfriend and I were visiting San Francisco for a week recently, and although we had plans to eat breakfast at the Hollywood Cafe because it was rated so well on tripadvisor, but the line was atrocious (not quite as bad as Mamma's always is, but still bad!), so we ventured to Pat's Cafe, which is just a couple blocks... We were staying at the Columbus Motor Inn which is very close to Pat's Cafe, so we walked over one morning to try Pat's out since it was so highly rated on Tripadvisor. We have mixed reviews. The pancake specials were good and filling (lots to eat), but the waffle special was strange in that it came with a half... More

The only thing I would have done differently is to have had our kids split a breakfast. The french toast portions were huge! But yummy, of course. A classic cafe.
