Great atmosphere. I really liked the covered outdoor seating. Service was... Perhaps a little too prompt. Some might call it pushy. But the food was the biggest disappointment. We are from New England and ordered seafood dishes. Seared Scallops Potato croquette, beluga lentils, pancetta, arugula & fennel, fennel cream, $34 And Cioppino Scallop, blue crab, shrimp, clams, calamari, garlic crostini,... More

Service is excellent, food is dependably superb, and the surroundings are calming. Whether it's worth the price is a matter of opinion, but I love the ambiance and the food, and it's always fun to walk around afterward and browse the shops and walk the grounds of the plantation.

My wife and I stopped on the spur of the moment to see the plantation and had an early lunch. Corrine was our server and she did a wonderful job. She new the menu well and suggested an option for me on the catch of the day menu item.

We went there for lunch, and got seated in the front table facing the lush green grass ground. It was very pleasant and relaxing. It is the open air plantation style and the staff was very welcoming. Food was good and at a very reasonable price. I had a swordfish dish with rice, and hubby had fish taco. Both were... More

We have been here before and enjoyed their chicken dish but this time it wasn't very good. The waffle maker was broken and they served it with just some mashed potatoes. The pineapple cake desert was very dry. My husband had the banana coconut cream pie that was very good

In 2011, the best meal we had on Kauai was at a place called 22 North at the Kilohana Plantation. Two years later, 22 North is no more, instead at the same location is Gaylords. How disappointing. We booked here again, hoping it was only a name change. The Ambiance is still spectacular: open air dining in the plantation house.... More

This review is for the dinner my wife and I enjoyed here in April 2013. We were staying at the Marriott Kauai Beach Club in Lihue, so Gaylord's was only 10 minute drive from our hotel. While the menu was limited, there were both fresh seafood, pork, beef, lamb and poultry selections. We skipped an appetizer to save room for... More

The place looks like an old British farm house from the outside. Inside, you enter a beautiful foyer with hardwood floors, then go up a few steps and angle to the left to enter the restaurant. The hostess is lovely, and the entire lunchtime dining area is situated around a sun-splashed courtyard, and looks out across a manicured lawn toward... More

Ask for a table around the perimeter of the courtyard. The setting was exceptional, as was the service and food. Great place to celebrate a special occasion!

Gaylords is in an old plantation home half way between Lihui. The cuisine is Pacific, the menu is largely local produce, fish, and meat. The setting is elegant (for Kauai), and the pace is slow. My wife and I both had fish dishes, the fish was very fresh and done to perfection. The salads couldn't have been fresher, the deserts... More
