We ate at Kilauea lodge after a day of hiking. It is in a town very close to the volcano. The location was great and the food was terrific. We had the lobster and Ono.

Yes, I love ono and poke, but what a treat to have a wide range of European cuisine with a little bit of Island influence. Creative menu, charming atmosphere, and the wait staff was WONDERFUL. A not to miss restaurant if you are in volcano. We ate there with our two teenagers and we all gave it two thumbs up!
The ladies at Volcano Village Lodge suggested that we give this restaurant a try. This place was a nice, romantic place for dinner.
The feeling of the Kilaua Lodge restaurant had that feeling of a place in Colorado or upper state New York. The restaurant was warm, inviting, and had delicious fare.
I ordered sausage and it was delicious. My...

After you book your accommodations in Volcano, make reservations for this gem. They offer online reservations through OpenTable. We would have dined there each night if we had reservations!

In fact, everything that came out of the kitchen was amazing. Service was outstanding. If German is not your thing, try the Ahi...

Excellent food. Excellent service. Loved the antelope schnitzel. Incredible. Popular - make a reservation.
We were impressed with this warm and inviting oasis outside the park near the Kilauea Volcano. We stopped for lunch after a volcano visit and had the best local beef burgers on what seemed to be homemade buns. Great friendly service. Good beer selection. We thought prices very fair...Hawaii's distance from mainland markets likely adds something to prices.

The room is warmly beautiful. The service is flawless -- telepathic even. The food.... all sounds awesome but was not quite up to the other elements of our dining experience, given the price (comparable to San Francisco, New York, LA....). There were good points, including use of local ingredients, appropriate portion sizes on the entrees, fresh vegetables and nice (though...

Christmas in Hawaii is warm and sultry down on the coast, and we love it! But, Volcano Village, at around 3800 feet, can be downright chilly! Walking into the Kilauea Lodge, with its ski-chalet ambiance and the smell of the crackling fire brought a real feeling of Christmas to us ex-pats from the mainland. Ask for a table by the...
