We had a wonderful fondue dinner for my wife's birthday at Alpenrose. The mixture of very good cheese fondue, nice wine, and chocolate fondue dessert was great. Prices are similar to other fondue places in big cities. Atmosphere (decor...old ski lodge) is nice. Service was very good.

At base of mountain, plays ski videos, perfect for lunch! great chili, soup goulash, grilled cheese. Kids love the chicken schnitzel, brownie Sunday, and paper table clothes to draw on. Quiet. Great hot drinks menu and spicy Bloody Mary.

We had dinner here Sunday night and had a good experience. The atmosphere is light German Swiss with a good waitstaff. The highlight of the decor is the antique sled and the nice fireplace. We stopped at the Alpenrose for after dinner drinks and were very happy sitting at the bar enjoying some very generous drinks. Very cozy and friendly, great bar tender!!

Loved the soups for lunch. Also the german pizzas. Great range of tap beers - mighty Bison was a hit with us.

The cheese fondue was great. The entree was okay... We had veal and pork entrees. So so for those. Our waitress was nice but wasn't really helpful. It was our first time there and only made one recommendation. It was a Swiss atmosphere so was different.

Had lunch here and all was really good. Burger was excellent, along with salads and soups. Hearty swiss type food (heavy). Service was good.

wow, I couldnt believe how bad the food was here! I've never had food from a restaurant that I actually had to spit back out of my mouth. Never before!
