My husband and I took a night away from the kids to check out this restaurant that came highly recommended from our guide. We had an amzing meal. The fish was so fresh and the rolls were fun and creative. they also have a really good coctail menu the thai margerita was sooo good!

Told that of the three sushi restaurants in the area, this was the best, I can see why someone would think so. A little on the noisy side, but the decor was quite nice, the ambiance was very friendly, the food was excellent, and the service was good and attentive. The menu was varied and somewhat extensive. Patrons can order... More

We had a wondefull evening at the Nikai restaurant. After a short wait we were seated at the Sushi bar. I needed some explanations on how the concept works (basically you order a whole bunch of differerent sushi plates). You see the chefs preparing the dishes in front of you, and this adds alot to the experience. One minor negative... More

Let me first say, I've been eating sushi about once a week or more since 1997. I make it at home, but also go out to eat alot. I like sashimi to the rolls, and everything in bewtween. So... I feel I have a good idea about what constitutes as good sushi. Ok, so there are 3 or 4 sushi... More

Nikai is a local gem. Hidden upstairs from the JH Historical Society and Museum it is a really lovely place to eat. The fish is fresh and they are really creative with their presentation. We had this hot and sour soup last night that was like Chinese hot and sour soup but with a Japanese flair. It was really good.... More

We had a great dinner at Nikai. Lots of unique options with wonderfully subtle flavors. Our service was good and a great end to a hard day of skiing.

Overall, this place is very nice and worth trying if you are in the mood for something different in Jackson. The sushi is good, but not great; somehow the various fish cuts we tried were not very flavorful, could be the way it was shipped, who knows, although it is still very fresh. The sake selection is great. We tried... More

This is another hot spot that requires a reservation. The food was quite good but the service was mediocre.

The sushi was just too mayonnaise-ish for my taste. Masa Sushi and Ignight both have better food. Atmosphere is ok and parking convenient.
