The Bar J Chuckwagon on the Village Road is much better for this type of event. Skip this one in town and cross the Snake...worth it.
This is not the style of entertainment I would normally go for, however I did find it ok. Travelling on the wagon was good fun, the food was surprisingly good and the entertainment professional. I always hate audience participation, I live in dread I will be picked on - this time my luck was in and the unlucky ones were... More
A very entertaining trip on the wagons to dinner in the "woods". The buffet-style dinner was very good. Their little variety show was fun. A good alternative to another restaurant dinner when you're traveling with kids.
We had such a great time at the bart5 the kids ate lots (so did I )show was first class fun i would certainly go back for another wonderful evening
For the family adventure of a lifetime, I recommend the Bar T 5. My wife and I had our youngest son, his wife and their two kids ages 9 & 6 in Jackson Hole for a week and chose this Chuck Wagon Dutch Oven cookout and are really glad we did. Starts with a Covered Wagon ride up a dusty... More
We thought it would be fun to take our daughters, 10 and 12, on this "cowboy cookout" to think about what it might have been like to live in the old west and travel on covered wagons. I have to say that the staff at Bar T-5 have their game down! People are directed where to go in a very... More
I have found reviews on Trip Advisor to be so helpful, so I feel obligated to write this one. Of all the things we did in in Jackson, this was our least favorite. I thought my kids, ages 9 and 12 would love it, but it was just such a tired show that they were really bored. The food was... More
We had a blast! This wad a great family experience, the drivers told us stories about the area and even let the kids "drive". The food was served promptly and the show was entertaining. If you have kids it is a must!
My husband & I attended the Bar-T-5 Cookout in June after reading recommendations on the Tripadvisor webiste. We have to say that we found the experience to be a little lacking. Maybe it all started when we were told to be at the gathering site at least 1/2 hour before the wagons leave for the eating area. We arrived promptly... More
Yes -- it's sort of hokey if you're a city slicker and don't have children with you -- but our evening at the Bar T-5 Cookout turned out to be an enjoyable time for most of our group. We were in Jackson for two nights as part of a 13-night Globus bus tour from Rapid City to Las Vegas, and... More
