Went to this restaurant on the recommendation from locals. Arrived looking forward to some good BBQ. Learned it was "off the menu" night. I don't know how often this happens. Instead of BBQ, they were serving Cajun. There were only 2 dishes to pick from, so disappointed in the selection. The food was good. My only real suggestion is to... More

Between South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah, this was the most expensive restaurant we ate at on our family trip. But sooo worth it. We had pulled chicken, pulled pork, smoked salmon topped caesar salad and pork back ribs between us all and it was so good. The staff was extremely nice. The atmosphere was a little rustic, but perfect. We... More

Had the BLT for lunch and it was the best i have had. The food and people are great! So went went back on Saturday night and enjoyed local live music and more great food. Topped it off with some awesome homemade ice cream. We will definitely be going back to visit with chef Sam and the rest of the... More

Cold night when I stopped at supper. Nice and warm place with friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. I had a combo plate of brisket and shredded pork with the potato salad and dill spear. I thought the meat was excellent, both the shredded brisket and pork, with tender, juicy meat and a unique, spicy sauce on the side. A new... More

After reading such great reviews we decided to stop in for some BBQ. Having spent a lot of years in Texas I'd like to think I know my BBQ. I ended up with their brisket sandwich... talk about dry and bland. And stale bread. It smelled a little of mold. Hate to write a bad review but I honestly would... More

Nice bar, friendly staff but BBQ average and small, small portions. Also overpriced for what you get...10 dollars for a dessert? Really?

If you like credit cards, don't eat here: Plastic and organic BBQ don't mix at Up In Smoke. The food is good- buffalo bratwurst, brisket plate, smoked BBQ chicken are all good. recommend the sampler plate- then you get a bit of each, and by "a bit", I mean "enough of each to qualify as a serving by itself". There's... More

Busy place, for good reason. Ribs are heritage pork, and they offer organic meals...good salads, good selection of beers, good service, couldn't ask for more. Will definitely eat there next time we are in Buffalo

The "Up In Smoke" Cafe Will Light Up Your Day!! Buffalo, Wyoming seemed a natural stop on our way to Billings, MT, so stop we did. We visited the very historic Occidental Hotel highlighting the Johnson County Cattle Wars of the 1870s, and the owner who had a role in the film "Paint Your Wagon" with Clint Eastwood and Lee... During our recent visit to WY we heard "on the street" about a new BBQ restaurant in town. The talk was good so we had to try it. We were NOT dissappointed! The food was great and as an added bonus the owners care enough to give us organic food. NICE! The chef even came out to the patio to... More
