Centro Cafe is quite a find. Good, creative pasta dishes. Reasonable prices for very decent portions. Creative combinations. We did note that some of the pastas were on the spicy side (and kind of salty), so just be aware. The bruchetta was probably the best we've ever had. A great appetizer.

My wife and I have eaten at Centro Cafe a couple of times, and were pleased both times. Salads are nice, and the pasta is quite fine. On our last visit, the prosciutto wrapping asparagus was a bit too salty -- but that's a minor point. Foodies will enjoy this place and everyone will enjoy the prices.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, but the food is nothing spectacular. We felt like we had just sat down at a classier Noodles & Co. Some people like being able to see the chefs cook, we, on the other hand, were intimidated by the female chef who seemed to be staring us down through all of dinner. It wasn't... More

Great food, wine list and service. Went on a Tuesday night at 5:30. No wait for a table. By the time we left at 6:30 the place was filling up. Many of the items on the menu are also available Gluten Free and without a surcharge for ordering GF. The Gluten Free pasta I had was extremely good. Highly recommend.... More

Went there on Saturday evening around 5:30 and got a table right away. If you go later, expect a wait since the place is rather small and they don't take reservations. The staff was very friendly even though they were very busy. They all seemed to work together to provide good service. We started with apps of baked goat cheese... More

Thoughtfully prepared dishes in a vibrant little neighborhood place. Good service, great value and lively feel give it a niche that this city needed filled.

The neighborhood where this restaurant is seems a bit iffy, but actually that part of Center Street in Riverwest is pretty cool. Expect to be a bit wowed when first walk in the door. We both said out loud, "This is cool!" It's an open concept place; there's a bar upstairs. It's warm, inviting. We normally don't do this but... More

Went tonight.and was worried as it only had 8 reviews. I was lucky and got in before the wait started. The don't take reservations. Food was awesome! I had the asparagus wraps and PENNE CON SALSICCIA and both were great. They cook right in the front. I am from out of town and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone... More

While the restaurant is small, the atmosphere is charming. Meals are delicious and cooked right in front of the restaurant. Fresh Italian cuisine utilizing locally grown ingredients. I especially liked the spicy seafood pasta. Being from Florida, I know seafood. The shrimp, scallops and calamari were cooked perfectly on the open grill. Definitely recommended.

A good friend introduced me to Centro café a year ago and I have become a regular. It is excellent for dinner, where one can enjoy exquisite Italian meals without breaking the bank. They only take cash but have an ATM on the premises It is a cozy wonderful gem on Center Street. It will become habit-forming. I don't know if... More
