Regardless of the time morning, noon or night the menu selections will satisfy any appetite. They have a great Sunday brunch. The wait staff are very attentive and helpful in recommendations. The establishment is open to the public so reservations are recommended. They also have a good wine seletion. So even if your not staying at the Inn it is... More

The staff at this Inn was very friendly. The Inn was mostly empty while we were there, so it felt very homey. They leave the doors open to all of the rooms that are not being used so you can look at the rooms. They are all different, very nastolgic. The staff will accommodate you in any way they can.... I remember a friend from the Pittsburgh area commenting that he didn't know places like this still existed. I have eaten in the General Lewis for over 30 years and it still has the same feel as it did the first time. The food and service are very good and the atmosphere fantastic. I really love to have breakfast there... More

This historic home is furnished with lots of antiques -- be sure to walk around a bit. The nice gentleman serving in the dining room let us in at the last minute of the lunch hour and was very kind and attentive. We had a great lunch in peace and quiet by a window, and I really liked the Christmas... More

I was unaware that I had a great hate for Dijon mustard and ordered a Dijon sandwich. Probably great if you like that. My reuben was awesome after that though and the atmosphere was really nice. The waiter was one of the best I have ever had in the area. I do not remember his name but he was a... More

As expected, given the name, the Inn's owners have preserved the look and feel of the 1800's. The public rooms and the property, overall was in excellent repair and is close to the town center. We were in town for lunch during the middle of the week. Service was very attentive, the food was tasty and reasonably priced. We did... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the General Lewis Inn and enjoyed a dinner and breakfast in the dining room. The food and service was excellent. The dining room itself is filled with antiques and is a beautiful room.
