Was looking for a breakfast place, not brunch, since we had an early hike and headed up Bridge Street and found South Hills Market and Cafe. Plenty of breakfast choices including build your own croissant sandwich, bagels with...whatever and the eggs with smoked salmon. Again choices, fruit or a type of hashed brown potato, but not a hashed brown potato.... More

Excellent, extremely fresh and unique salads and sandwich's. All three in our party raved about how great this place is. Love the fact that they have beer, wine and spirits. If you're in Charleston, this is a MUST VISIT.

If your staying downtown, avoid all the chains and head up the hill to this awesome place. Service is great and the food is excellent. They have a wide variety of offerings and everyone in our group loved their meal. Also check it out for lunch or morning coffee.

Dinner for two. Table was waiting. Great menu with more choices than most places, all gourmet. Great service and the food was excellent. I recommend.

My friend and I had a delicious take out lunch from here today. There was an omission from our order but our food was so awesome and filling we didn't even notice. However, I received a voicemail from a few hours later from the Cafe apologizing for the error and inquiring what they could do to make it right. So... More

I had dinner with 3 others and our reservation was at 6:30. We were promptly seated and our server, Brandon, appeared quickly with water and ready for our drink order. The menu is impressive and the chef uses local, fresh ingredients. The Mac n cheese and the greens are my favorite sides - delicious. I had roasted chicken and the... More

We have dined here a few times recently, and have consistently had good meals. It is fairly quiet, which makes it a great place to meet with friends. There is a good variety of choices on the menu. The steaks are as good as any in town, and several seafood dishes are good and well-presented. And, if you just want... More

The food and service is exceptional! We finally decided to try dinner and its frankly impressive. The expanded menu offers something for everyone. The least expensive thing is the truffle popcorn and its so delicious. We loved the lobster quesidilla, steak various seafood dinners and even the burgers. The problem lies with saving room for dessert. I'm ok skipping the... More

This little cafe plates food with big taste. Fresh ingredients and new approaches to old favorites made my experience so enjoyable that I wanted to go back again, and soon! A lot of Charleston natives frequent the more popular bistro across the street with its larger bar area, but the cafe is not to be missed for its food selection... More

They were really very slow, (oops, had to take a 2-hour lunch) but I understand the kitchen was working on 4 catering jobs that day. Food was exceptional. Our group of 5 tried multiple appetizers that were all very good. We had a variety of soups, salads, and sandwiches, and all were very good. I had a coffee to go... More
