Description: Owner Walt Worthy worked to reflect his passion for Southern style food, reminiscent of his upbringing. The smoky scent of barbecued ribs fills the air, in an atmosphere inspired by his travels. Fried okra, one of the popular fire-roasted flat breads or a homemade miniature dessert are just a sampling. As the day fades away, the bar becomes filled with an after work crowd that continues into the wee hours of the morning. Private dining room seats up to 25 guests.

The flatbread appetizers are wonderful. The main course equally as good. The service was friendly and efficient.

Great happy hour with flatbread and Bloody Marys on the menu. The service has always been excellent as their staff is friendly and attentive. Bloody marys are double Grey Goose with lots of vegetables. It doesn't get better than that.

While not as cool as the Davenport itself the Safari room still has a great atmosphere and their 3 course dinner deals are great. Its a wonderful place to share with a special friend

Gorgeous building and a great companion to the hotel. Beautiful, good food and nice staff. Did not leave hungry and they worked very hard to help with the fact that I have allergies and to make my dining experience great.

We ate here as the Palms was full - this isn't bad by any means - people have trouble deciding whether they should dress up or not - both are acceptable- we enjoyed our food and the atmosphere- safari theme ( safari room)

This restaurant has so much potential! Great location and atmosphere. My husband and I have gone back after hesitation 4 or so times now and have continued to be disappointed. Don't think we will be heading back even with the Passport Card offering buy one get one free entree. My husband's hamburger has been overcooked every time we have gone.... More

I booked reservations for 2/9 @ 6pm, 2 months in advance for Valentine's Day at the Palm Court Grill at the Davenport Hotel. We were seated in a ridiculous, tiny table that was clearly placed there because of overbooking. It was half in bar, half in dining room and in the middle of a walk way. We were constantly banged... The food and service are excellent, of course, because it is the Davenport. One thing I love is that the staff never bat an eyelash even though we usually look like hobos when we go there.

I love the decor with the African prints and beautiful furnishings. The drinks and food I've had there are pretty forgettable. Nothing spectacular.
