Please note that this restaurant has been closed since last October. When it was open it produced decent food, of the burger and fish and chips variety. It's main draw is its waterside location. More

The decor was fun and inviting. The food was very tasty and we thought it was a good value. The fish and chips were a favorite in our group. More

It was a beautiful sunny day at happy hour and the server at the door would not allow us drink speacials on the patio, and it was only HALF FULL !!!!!! We had to sit inside only-----which of course we didnt ---we promply left and walked down the street to their competitor and had a wonderful time on their sunny... More

Went to CJ's with a friend while I was staying in Birch Bay. Picked CJ's because they have an awesome patio. I have been here before and found the service slow and it was also slow this time but they day was so nice we weren't in a rush. We shared two meals so I got to try the fish... More

We have eaten at this restaurant several times, starting in July 2010. Sometimes the food was wonderful, sometimes it was not, depending on who was cooking on any given night. I'm still looking for a consistently excellent dining experience in Blaine / Birch Bay. I liked the food at the new Black Forest Steak House the one time we went... More

We spent 2 days in Birch Bay and ate at this restaurant 3 times. The crab melt was delicious. Eggs benedict was great too. Great location with outdoor seating right across from the water. Waitstaff was great...would highly recommend. More

Four of us ate dinner at the beach house while on vacation, with mixed reviews. The almond halibut was a hit, the seafood saute was terrible, and missed reviews wight the crab boil.  The saute had over cooked salmon, gritty scallops, rubber shrimp, and overcooked halibut, none of which had any seasoning added.  All were tasteless!!!  The crab boil was... You can tell their entire menu comes premade right out of a bag. Unfortunately, CJ's felt making the food hot wasn't a requirement. The fish and chips were slightly warm but soggy. My wife had a salad which the server actually described as "bagged mix." Also, being in the summer the owners got greedy and decided to expand the outside... More

We stopped in at CJ's on a Tuesday night- the balcony was packed which was a good sign. Hostess was friendly but bartender was extremely slow getting our 2 drinks as we waited fir an outside table. After being seated we waited at least 5 minutes before being acknowledged- once we were, however, service was friendly and efficient. We had... More

I think the best part of the dinner was the hot bread! Not that the rest was bad exactly, but for the prices they charge one expects a whole lot more. The service was fine - cheery & quick - and the atmosphere was fine for a family. The food just lacked anything that would set it apart from let's... More
