This joint is owned and operated by the same family that owns the pizza place next door. If you have ever been disappointed in Spitony's, you can expect the same at Northside, but with table service. The food seems, honestly, to be cooked by the wait staff; consistency is 100-percent non-existent. Even breakfast, eggs and toast for heaven's sake, lacks... More

Went there for breakfast and was disappointed with the meals we were served. I was expecting an old-time diner experience, and was disappointed. Slow service, food was only "ok".

Went to this place for breakfast one weekend and was not impressed with the quality of food. The place was pretty full of locals though, so I guess it just depends on your standards. Coffee was watered down and pancakes nothing special.

Really nice little local place. Food is exactly what I want and expect in a local diner, and the service is friendly. I'm sure they're fine for other meals too, but I just know them as a good breakfast place.

Me and my husband stopped in for breakfast when our usual Saturday morning haunt was closed for the extended Holiday weekend. Boy, were we surprised! I used to frequent the restaurant when it was the old Town N Country. You would never know it was the same place! Nice, clean, great decor, very friendly service and an awesome Greek omelet,... More

That's what the sign says and they are right. We held a family birthday get together there because it was centrally located for our Maryland and Virginia family member and because it was rated good for kids. It exceeded all of our expectations for ease of reservation, courtesy of the staff, excellence of our server, and great food. The menu... More

Driving up 29 with my kids, we stopped for lunch and took a chance on a local restaurant instead of settling for chain fast food. And we were glad we did. I had a delicious Southwestern burrito (a breakfast item, served til 2 pm) and my kids ordered from the kids' menu. They also got a little activity sheet with... More

This review focuses on breakfast because that's the time we usually visit. Since undergoing a management change, I'd say that the Northside's breakfast menu has improved by 100 percent. From tasty, well-prepared omelets, to light, fresh breakfast burritos, we have been extremely pleased with dining options (and taste) at Northside. As important... the friendly service!
