We enjoyed everything there. Either if you go to the gastronomic restaurant or to the bistro. The first one is romantic and great, the other one is good to have a pizza, especially on Wednesday. We will be back.

I was very impressed with the whole evening! The food was excellent, the portion sizes were of a decent size, very tasty, and our steaks were cooked to perfection. What was really great was the staff. The young man serving us was very friendly, and very knowledgable about the food and wine. I could see the bar was busy next...

We went to the Martinborough Hotel Bar and Grill for dinner, 4 of us. Myself and one other were very disappointed. One of our party had the pork belly which looked nice and she enjoyed it however 2 of us, being females like a bit of greenery and nice presentation when we go out to dinner. 2 of us ordered...

We had a lovely meal on Saturday night. Easily booked before we left home from the website and welcomed when we arrived with a lovely smile.
The duck was cooked to perfection and there was a good selection of wines to choose from, the Martinborough Vineyards Chardonnay 2011 as aperitif was also to die for.
Calm atmosphere in the restaurant...

We ate here recently on a Thursday night. The dining room is pleasant, and our meals and the service were both good. Given that Martinborough is a wine town, our only minor gripe was that we felt that they could have had a better selection of local wines by the glass.
Have eaten here - really great chef and beautiful food - sits on the corner of the Martinborough Square and is very popular if quite expensive. Excellent wine list, of course!
Very comfortable bar/restaurant with good food and atmosphere.we arrived in Martinborough ona Monday and struggled to find anywhere open to eat so it was not much of a choice to visit the Martinborough hotel. Fortunately the non-choice worked out since the food and service were very good with a reasonable bar menu.
Choice is limited in the town itself, but this didn't matter as we found this a very good restaurant. My wife had prawns on an avocado and tomato tian, while I had a vibrant smoked salmon starter. My main of lamb rump simply melted in the mouth, and was cooked beautifully pink. My wife's pork loin, with sweet potato was...

Amazing staff! So friendly and helpful and worked together really well. We didn't feel ignored or unimportant and we felt really well looked after. Food was delicious and well presented.
We had visited Martinborough for a weekend getaway and dropped into this iconic venue. We were really disappointed with the selection of drinks, menu and in particular the service. We didn;t find it warm and welcoming at all, and while we were only looking for bar food what we got was quite flavourless. There was a Super15 rugby game on...
