Spent the weekend using Onancock as our base. Stopped by there one night for oysters and beer. Great atmosphere. Very relaxing. Oysters were excellent.
Much kudos to the young lady that made my visit to mallards a "spoiled" one. I was enjoying a lovely few glasses of wine out on the deck and Tyler was so attentive to my wishes as well as the other customers surrounding me. I witnessed Tyler's manors taking affect and also her ability to tend to several orders in... More
Had a wonderful time. Amazing food and great service from our server tyler. We had the chicken tortilini which was delicious. Johnny mo even sang happy birthday to my husband. Overall great place!
Part of the Mallard is in a charming historic building on the wharf in an equally charming small town, but the tables outside by the water are just what you imagine for a relaxing evening meal. The small wine list had a wonderfully delicious Pinot Noir and Riesling, but the star of the show for me was the crab cake.... More
Just stopped in for a drink, Only serve canned beer. All staff was friendly and the place is full of character!! Will be going back!

We stopped here for lunch on our drive home from Cape Charles. The food was good, and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

There was a local cover musician playing that night, so perhaps the atmosphere was a bit more lively than normal, but it was nice to have a bit of pep in a quite town. The... More

David, our server, made certain that every aspect of our late afternoon dining experience was perfect. Enjoying a wonderful meal while watching the sun set from this beautiful location was the perfect ending of a truly memorable Mother's Day.
