Food was ok but the main problem was the change over of food took to long and we was only nipping in for a quick bit nearly an hour and half later still there will not be going back here.

Its not fancy but if you want good food without the fuss then Redcap has it and drinks arn't to badly priced. Its a carvary so you pick your choice of meat or pie and then add all the extras you want. The vegetables were fresh and not over cooked and even a choice of two gravy. For the money...

Three of us enjoyed a unhurried lunch in pleasant surroundings. The food was well presented and delicious, and the portions generous. This place is always busy, especially with young families, and this adds to the atmosphere.
We have been regular visitors of this restaurant for the past 5 years or so and it has always been fantastic, however over the past few months we have tended to steer clear, the management must have changed as this place is going down hill...fast!!! Last week my mum wanted to treat us all to a family meal (Cheaply) so...

cheap and nasty. you certainly get what you pay for. Small potions. dry food that looks like it has been sat under a hot lamp all day. expensive drinks. wont be going back.

A great advert to catch your eye is the Roast for £2.99 but my GOD it was horrific.
The meat was dry, the portions small and you can't ask for more (unless you want to be charged extra) there was no beef gravy left so the meal just tasted awful x10.
To almost make up for the cheap price of...

the service at the bar is efficient, find that sometimes you have to wait for the food at the carvery, but at least it is nice and fresh. the prices are good, with offers every now and again
