Yesterday I was at the Tides Inn for a Bridal Luncheon for 30 or more women. The restaurant staff bent over backwards to make this often hackneyed meal into a one of a kind event. The staff even re-created a grapefruit aspic-like salad recipe that was a specialty of the bride-to-be's great-grandmother! Congealed and served in a grapefruit "shell" the... More

Food was outstanding and service was friendly and attentive to our every need. We had all three meals during our stay and each one was excellent.

The food is wonderful at the Tides Inn but we were completely forgotten by the wait staff during a New Year's Eve dinner. Never received our dessert or coffee....

The food here is much better than I had expected, and I am pretty fussy. We ate here several times and everything was great. They had excellent tuna one evening, cooked perfectly with a very tasty salsa. I loved the calamari -- lightly breaded and very tender with a nice dipping sauce. The she-crab soup was very flavorful. The salads... More

Pricey, service is spotty, food is good. Coffee is terrible and that is ridiculous in a resort. Desert disappointing, atmosphere is great.

Ate in the East Room (Same menu as the more casual Chesapeake Club). The service was good, but the food was pedestrian. We had "She Crab Soup" and it was very bland, good portion of crab, but not much flavor. The "Seafood Trinity" appetizer was good and the oyster and scallop were fine, but agin the crab cake was bland.... More

The Chesapeake Club and the East Room are actually two adjacent restaurants, sharing a menu, but the East Room is more formal. We ate at the Chesapeake Club early on a Saturday night with another couple. We are often in the area, but had not eaten dinner here for over a year. The last time we visited, the dining room...
