We stayed over in Bristol on our way to Atlanta and had breakfast at JJ's. We were welcomed immediately and graciously by our waitress, Terry. The diner had us feeling like regulars tho' we had never been there before. The atmosphere is very casual and the menu full of delicious choices. I had my usual eggs over easy (cooked to... More

Good basic meat + 3 with homemade flair. Also specialties from LA. Good value and close to the interminable Exit 7. More

I saw this place on TripAdvisor and went hopefully to check it out as it is only a couple of miles from home, but it was no good. The food was bad - the meatloaf dry and salty - and the service was slow. A better choice for this kind of place is Chicken Little up in Abingdon. We had... More

They make you feel like family. We had the grilled meatloaf which is packed with flavor and the melt in your mouth fried oysters. Thanks for the great meal and the warm welcome to us Cornhuskers! More

My first experience with the owners of this business was at a local event back in the fall, in Bristol in which the owners catered the event. At the event, they told me about JJ's and I was very excited when I got to go there finally, last week! I was told that the Chicken & Dumplings were awesome, which... More

We found this place right here on Trip Advisor. We tried it out and we are VERY pleased. We have went 3 times in the last 3 weeks. We traveled 35-40 miles to get there. The food is WONDERFUL! Joel is the chef, (he is part owner with his wife, Vanessa). They are EXTREMELY friendly and their staff also. They... More

Chef Joel prepares great dishes in the kitchen and wife Vanessa always has a smile as she manages the dining room. Great traditional breakfast all day long. Fantastic burgers with fresh cut French Fries. Oh..... Don't miss the all you can eat Catfish on Fridays. As a local, this is one of our favorite stops. More

My family and I was out traveling and before we left my husband checked the reviews on this resturant so we wrote the name down and when we was on our way back we stopped by. This place is a great place to eat. Big thanks out to Joel and Vanessa (owners) for the great service. From the time we... More

Don't let the looks fool you. The atmosphere may be casual, but it is comfortable, clean and smoke-free and the food is out of this world! The ingredients are fresh, not frozen, and the dishes range from country/home cooking to spicy cajun to salads/sandwiches to the BEST burgers. The pricing is very fair and the portions are generous. This place... More
