The food was outstanding and service perfect. We took friends from Asheville, North Carolina and they were very impressed with what the little town of Bedford has to offer. It is in a beautiful setting. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

This quaint establishment is a 'can't go wrong' type place, regardless of your tastes. My wife, the vegetarian, had the best halibut fillet she had ever seen or tasted. I was served a phenomenal rib-eye cooked medium rare to perfection. My mother had the crab cake special that is unmatched by any you would get at a restaurant in a... More

This quaint little restaurant is, in my opinion, about as good as it gets in this part of Virginia. The scenery is outlined by the Blue Ridge Mountains, the service is friendly and personal and the food is excellent. Every time we have been to eat here everything has been just perfect! This is always our "date-night" and never regret... More

This tucked away gem needs to be applauded for it's great food. This was our first time ever going to this restaurant but it want be the last. They had the best grits I have ever had in my life along with the freshest pan seared trout it was so good I could have licked the plate. They also provide... More

Having never been and hearing good things we decided to go. It took longer to get there then expected and the parking lot and dining room were empty. We thought we might have a quiet meal, but the place quickly filled up and became a little loud for my tastes. The wait staff was efficient and attentive and the food... More

We recently spent not one, but two nights at Millstone having dinner. Two consecutive nights on a weekend we drove the 30-40 minutes (one way) to this quiet, little restaurant only to find ourselves hugged with warmth, friendliness and delicious food and it was just what we needed. We had a rough Friday and strangely, I was thinking that what... More

Amazing locally sourced menu, creative and extremely tasty. Wood construction with a fireplace (really cozy) and great staff, gorgeous views outside. Located in a very rural area, so it is a real gem- don't pass it up! and the grits, oh the grits... mmmm

Yea, we've been here before and it is always great. The food and service is excellent. Nina our server is one of the best. She is right on top of everything. I had the rainbow trout and it was very tasty. My wife had the eggs and grits. She said the best ever. Keep up the good food and service.... More

We always enjoy the visit. Service always good. Food portions not huge, but with a nice bottle of wine, good conversation, and no rush everything is perfect. Great setting in one of the most beautiful valleys in Virginia.

Fine dinning at it's best. Been there several times, and is always first class. Charlotte and Nina provide personal, attentive, but not intrusive service. It's the kind of place where you feel at home in black tie and tails, or nice shorts and a polo shirt. We ate there twice this weekend, had the halibut special and fried oysters. Both... More
