Stopped in the Anchor over Presidnent's day weekend. Our group of 8 had to wait a little for the one large table to be available, but let me tell you it was worth the wait. Don't miss their famous French Onion Soup. Food was served very quickly and everything was excellant. Very clean also. More

Burgers were great, New England Clam Chowder excellent! The Anchor was recommended by the owners of the B & B we were staying in. When we got there, the parking lot was full but we were seated quickly. Some of the dishes seemed a bit pricey but the food was very good and cooked according to our likes. More

The Anchor was pretty good, definitely better than average; however, I found the vegetables and calamari a little bland. The atmosphere was nice, and I loved the salad dressing, My husband really liked his Shrimp scampi, and my scallops were pretty good. The entrees begin at about $16 and go up to probably about $34.
