let's try to break it down: Overly price and pretentious. Horrible service: the waitress didn't even ask me why my I barely touched my wine. Then I went to try my husband's wine and was equally disappointed. When he order a beer, he said was horrible as well. Beverage director? I don't even think they have one and if they... More

We have enjoyed many lovely meals here in the dining room and in the bar area. The service and food are both wonderful. It's a great date night restaurant. One draw back is the expensive wine list. The wine selection is very good but overpriced. More

The Pub at this inn enjoys a wonderful setting- the inn and it's grounds are beautiful. The menu has a mix of offerings: anything from pizza or a burger to duck and salmon prepared very elegantly. A less expensive and more casual alternative to the inn's main restaurant. More

We decided to try the Hermitage Inn for dinner, due to such high reviews on TripAdvisor. We arrived just in time for our reservation, because we got lost trying to find the place. It is about 3 miles off the main road, which made it even more interesting when we pulled up to it. Very nice looking place, with a... More

My wife and I decided to try The Hermitage on our last night in Vermont. We love good food, and really appreciate good service. We'd been very dissapointed by the food that we'd had during our stay in West Dover (besides our breakfasts at Snow Goose Inn), and the Hermitage was a serious breath of fresh air. There was no... We went for happy hour after a day of skiing and ate like kings. Their flatbread pizza was the stand out. My husband and I went a week later for dinner. We sat in the front dining room. The menu is the same as their more formal dining room the but the atmosphere is more relaxed with live music. I... More
