After many years of visiting Stowe, it was only last summer that we finally were able to get a table here. Now I know why, and it's worth the wait. The menu is wonderfully varied, the prices realistic, and the food worth it. The atmosphere is friendly and clubby, as is the service. A bit crowded, perhaps, but that's what... More

We could tell there were many loyal customers on the Saturday night we were there. We sat at the bar to have our dinner as we arrived without reservation. The beetroot napoleon we had was wonderful and quite artfully served. We also had grilled salmon and rib eye steak, both were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very... More

I certainly visited Harrisons quite a bit while in the Village of Stowe and it is definitely a cosy and comfortable restaurant whether sitting at a table or up at the bar. It gets very busy with queues so probably best to book but the bar sears are available as soon as vacated etc and I enjoyed sitting there amongst... More

This was probably the latest place we could go to in Stowe before everything closes down for the night. We had great food, and the atmosphere is very quaint. The bar tender was extremely friendly. We were actually here October 2010. Would definitely go back, although I do recall that it was a bit pricey. More

My boyfriend and I ate at Harrison's while staying at The Green Mountain Inn...literally just across the street. I came across Harrison's on TripAdvisor and we both decided we should give it a shot. I called and made a reservation for Saturday night on our drive up to Stowe on Friday. I waited a little too late because availability was... More

This was the last restaurant we went to on our recent visit to Stowe. We saved the best for last! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented and right up there with many of the fine dining restaurants we have been too. Save room for dessert because the profiteroles are delicious. It's hard to say exactly why this petite bistro like place is so great - it does have excellent food, great service, nice atmosphere (even though, yes, it's in a basement), and very nice wine list. But there are lots of restaurants that have all those, and more than a few in Stowe. I can say it is the one... More
