This is a not to be missed lunch time treasure while in Stowe. The vegetarian chili soup was awesome. The beet soup with horseradish creme fresh, was an amazing experience. They had a great selection of sandwiches with an assortment of fresh bread choices. Their staff was super friendly!

I came here two days in a row because the food was so good. (The bean burger and salad both times.) Both times I was kicking chairs because the place is so small. And both times the service was a little strange. The first time the cashier was handing me a BLT I didn't order and the second time I... More

Cafe on Main is very small, casual restaurant. Very friendly. They serve breakfast and lunch. We went for breakfast twice. First day I had a homemade oatmeal with brown sugar, syrup, raisins and walnuts wich was excellent. My husband had scrambled eggs with homemade fries wich was good to. Next day he had Belgium waffles and I had blackberry scone... More

Stopped by here for a quick lunch; service was fast and pleasant; food was excellent - soup, salad, cookie. Small and crowded.

Don't expect fancy. Oatmeal was good, my husband had a standard egg, bacon, english muffin breakfast which he said was good. The locals congregate here and the prices are average but not outrageous like the hotels.Under $10. a person. It is small and it might be necessary to share one of the few tables with others.

Really nice menu with many options for breakfast or lunch; extremely reasonable prices especially for the portions. We had great omelettes. This is a small place and seating is VERY tight.

As usual, we found this great place after checking out the reviews on Trip Advisor. Please note, though, this restaurant is now called Cafe on Main. Cafe on Main is very casual and small, but fortunately, it was not crowded the morning we went. I'm sure it gets very busy during high-season on the weekends. I had the homemade oatmeal... More

Its nice to find somewhere that will do half a sandwich, as us English don't tend to eat that much. Staff are always friendly and efficient.

We used Jamie's as our regular lunch stop but the breakfast was also great. The sandwich selections and homemade soups were delicious and if you have room for more the freshly baked pastries and cookies were yummy.
