Great stop for a quick bite! Very busy, so as soon as you enter you are in line for your order. If you are not familiar with the menu, can seem overwhelming, but the staff is wonderful with helping you select. Home made food is just wonderful. We would stop again the next time we are in the area. Very... More

Home made breads and tempting desserts, delicious salads, soups, and sandwiches. New variety of ice cream every day. Can be very crowded for lunch, so plan to come either earlier or later to find a table.

Good pastry, great sandwiches and truly good soups. Step to the back of the cafe and you will be rewarded with exceptional views of the river and the mountain. Great place to linger for a bit, read your book or visit with friends. A Brattleboro gem.

Fantastic lunch. We had large, flavorful sandwiches on homemade bread. The place has a really laid back atmosphere. Dining area overlooks the water, nice view while you munch. Counter self order/pick-up. Wanted to order the soup too, it looked unbelievable, but the sandwiches were so gigantic I was glad I didn't!

Amy's is the best place in town for a quick lunch: homemade bread for the sandwiches, and a terrific choice catering for veggies and non-veggies alike. Great, filling soups and tempting desserts, including some gluten-free items. Be prepared for the self-serve aspect (the long, skinny corridor to the eating area would present a problem for table service anyway, I suspect)... More

We have really good friends who live in Brattleboro whom we visit at least twice a year. And whenever we are in town, we make it a routine to have coffee and a pastry at Amy's every morning we are in town. The food is outstanding. The pastries are large, tasty and perfect. The staff are really nice and i... More

We had the roasted eggplant and chick pea soup, with a little yogurt on top. Phenomenal soup. Very busy, which is a sign of how good the food is.

We stopped in on a weekday at mid afternoon. This place was busy all afternoon whenever we walked by.We got a couple of scones and a big chocolate chip cookie. The only downside was that my wife's hot chocolate was the worst she ever had.We saw them make it with a chocolate syrup. It was so bitter that she couldn't finish it.However the... Stopped in at Amy's twice over the weekend. Forget about the lines, they move quickly and cheerfully. The sandwiches are absolutely great along with very good soup. Don't forget to try the pastries. Very courteous employees. Highly recommended.
